Dog Friendly Hiking Trails Near RKD Airport

Birch Point State Park is a dog-friendly spot in Owls Head, ME. You can bring Fido with you to enjoy the 62 acres on Penobscot Bay. The park is home to a crescent-shaped sand beach which Fido is allowed to use between October 1st through March 31st. There's also a picnic area that you can enjoy with your pup, as long as they are on a leash under six feet and owners clean up after them.

Owls Head State Park is a dog-friendly recreation area in Owls Head, ME. It's home to lots of interesting landmarks, including the main attraction: a stunning lighthouse constructed in 1852. Dogs aren't permitted in the lighthouse, but there's green space near the parking lot for them to walk. The rocky beach is also available to dogs and their owners between April 1st and September 30th. Just keep them on a leash under six feet.
