Dog Friendly Hiking Trails in Mexico & the Caribbean

Lucayan National Park is a pet-friendly park in High Rock, Bahamas. Leashed dogs are welcome to join their owners on the boardwalks and trails at this 40-acre park that protects one of the world’s longest charted underwater cave systems. Hike one of the park's easy loops with your pooch, including a top loop to Ben’s Cave, a Sea Cave and Hammock, as well as a former burial ground. Then, check out Bahamian flora and fauna on the bottom loop through the Mangroves to Gold Rock Beach.

El Yunque National Forest is pet-friendly. Dogs are welcome on the many hiking trails around this national forest. For epic views across the island, stride out on the moderate El Yunque Trail, or take an easy walk on Angelito Trail to Damas Pool in the Mameyes River for a dip with your dog.
