Land of the Yankee Fork State Park Leashed dogs are welcome at Land of the Yankee Fork State Park in Challis, ID. Fido is welcome to join you on the pet-friendly, historic trails that were once trudged by groups of miners back in the day. Be sure to check out the nearby ghost towns of Bonanza, Custer and Bayhorse, the Yankee Fork Gold Dredge, the Custer Motorway, and the Challis Bison Jump. This huge reservoir located in the Boise National Forest is popular among anglers and sightseers alike. Castle Rocks State Park Dogs are allowed at pet-friendly Castle Rocks State Park, a rock climber's paradise, in Almo, ID. Scramblers from all over are drawn to the stunning mountains and their dramatic backdrop. There are a number of pet-friendly trails in the area for you and your leashed pup to enjoy. Three Island Crossing State Park Three Island Crossing State Park in Glenns Ferry, ID, is dog friendly. You are welcome to bring Fido with you to explore sections of the once well-traveled Oregon Pioneer Trail that hugs the banks of Snake River. Pets are permitted all around the park and campgrounds on a leash under six feet, but are not allowed in any of the cabins. See Details
Coeur d'Alene Parkway Coeur d' Alene Parkway is a dog-friendly state park with plenty of recreational opportunities for you and your pooch in Coeur d'Alene, ID. The pet-friendly paved parkway lies along the north shore of Lake Coeur d' Alene and is 5.7 miles in length. The parkway is part of the North Idaho Centennial Trail, a multi-use recreational trail system. When you're tired of walking, you can take a break at one of the roadside picnic tables or benches on the banks of the lake that overlook the crystal clear water and the surrounding pine forests. Massacre Rocks State Park Dogs are welcome at pet-friendly Massacre Rocks State Park in American Falls, Idaho. Enjoy plenty of hiking opportunities in the area, and you may even spot some wildlife, including Canada geese, grebes, bald eagles, pelicans, blue herons, rabbits, coyote, muskrat, and beavers. When the weather is hot, your pooch can take a dip in Snake River that can be accessed from one of the nature trails. Lone Lake Trail Lone Lake Trail is a 4.5-mile, pet-friendly hike in the Idaho Panhandle National Forest in Mullan, ID, that will take about 3 hours to complete with Fido. Before setting out to hike this trail you will want to check if there are current logging projects along it. The hike starts on a road that angles to the north before turning back south and running alongside Willow Creek. From here follow the signs. Eventually the path converts from a road, into an actual trail. See Details

Revett Lake is a quaint little spot surrounded by ridges, forests, and meadows. Granite Peak, standing at 6814 feet, looms in the background. The hike to the lake is one of the easiest in the area. Rexburg Nature Park Leashed dogs are welcome at pet-friendly Rexburg Nature Park, located on 15 acres in Rexburg, ID. Pups will love the jogging paths that are along a beautiful area close to the South Fork of the Teton River. It's away from traffic and in a more tranquil environment. Bottleneck Lake and Snow Lake Trail Bottleneck Lake and Snow Lake Trail is a 11.4-mile hike that will take about 6 hours to complete with Fido. What once used to be a short trail now is much longer and leads you to Snow Lake, which provides a rare thing for the Idaho Selkirks: solitude. The path was once over taken by logging, but now the forest is growing back and wildlife returning to make for a nice wilderness trail. See Details
Pend Oreille Divide Trail The Pend Oreille Divide Trail is a 8.5-mile, pet-friendly hike on Calder Mountain in Sandpoint, ID, that will take about 6 hours to complete with Fido. This trail traverses one of the best ridgelines in the Cabinet Range taking you by summits, meadows, and providing spectacular views. It is a very dry hike, so you will want to bring water for both you and Fido. See Details
