If Fido needs a relaxing country getaway this summer, there’s no need to book a flight to Provence, France, for him to enjoy a lavender farm. There are pet-friendly farms throughout the U.S. that welcome you and your pup to pick this aromatic plant. And, of course, there are plenty of opportunities to snap a few pictures, too.

At Loess Hills Lavender Farm, you and your pup can wander around the rows of plants and pick your own flowers by the stem from the fields. Their lavender blooms from mid-June through September. Loess Hills offers other products in the barn, such as farm-made lavender fudge, tea, spices, and lotion.

Playing on a leash at the farm is great fun, but Fido may also need to let loose before bedtime. This nearby Omaha home has a fully fenced backyard for zoomies.

It’s both a lavender farm and vineyard, so you'll be able to wander the purple fields and sip on local wine during your visit.
