Description
The Jingle Bell Walk welcomes Greyhounds and their owners to raise awareness and funds to support canine cancer research and treatment. Greyhound Adventures and Trail Bound Hounds join together each December for this event to promote Greyhounds as companion animals and to honor the breed and those dogs that have passed on from cancer and other ailments over the past year.
Retired racing Greyhounds and their adopters will meet at 10:00 a.m. at the Swan Boat Dock and continue around the Public Garden and the Boston Common. The holiday stroll will last approximately 1 - 1 1/2 hours. Festive holiday attire on hounds and humans is encouraged and commemorative jingle bells will be given to each Greyhound. Last year’s event attracted over
100 greyhounds and raised over $5000.
