HOunds Around Towne

Dogs will once again be taking over Evans Towne Center Park for Hounds Around Towne, and Columbia County Community Events invites you to participate! From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, dogs and their owners will compete in the canine disc competition- Hyperflite Shyhoundz DiscDogahthon Qualifier 2016. We welcome vendors of ALL animals to apply and sell their crafts at the event! Animal shows and demonstrations of everything fowl, fluffy, or fuzzy will be featured during the day. The event begins with a blessing of the animals at 10 a.m. and a dog costume contest at 10:30 a.m. Prizes are provided for 1st – 3rd place. Vendors will sell animal-related crafts and products and carnival-style refreshments such as funnel cake, corn dogs, wings and burgers. A free concert featuring Doug and the Henrys will begin at 11 a.m. The afternoon includes demonstrations from the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office Canine Unit, K-9 Southern Solutions and the Mid-Atlantic Disc Dog Club. The event is free and open to the public and we are anticipating a GREAT turnout! Vendor fees for Hounds Around Towne are $25.00 for craft and animal-based business booths. Each craft vendor must supply their own tables, tent, tent stakes, and chairs. No electricity available. Each booth space is approximately 10ftx10ft.
