Paws in the Park

The Delaware Valley Golden Retriever Rescue (DVGRR) will hold “Paws in the Park” on Sat., Oct. 1 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Lititz Springs Park, Lititz, PA. Paws in the Park is a canine festival and celebration of “all things dogs.” It is open to the public and all breeds are welcome with proceeds benefitting DVGRR. There will be canine-oriented games and contests as well as a number of vendors representing canine products, arts and crafts, and food as well as educational information about buying a dog and finding reputable breeders. Flyball Dogs Anonymous will put on demonstrations at noon and 2:00 p.m., and the Lancaster County Sheriff Department’s K-9 Unit will hold a demonstration at 1:00 p.m. “This is a first for an event of this kind, and we expect a good turnout from both dog lovers and local residents,” said Inza Adams, DVGRR Events Manager. Event pre-registration is $20.00 and includes a commemorative event t-shirt and registration for two dogs in the canine games and contests, or dogs can be registered at the event for $5.00. DVGRR is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing Golden Retrievers, Doodles, and Labrador Retrievers. The organization receives no government funding, relying solely on donors, supporters, and fundraising event proceeds.
