Paws in the Park

Bring your good natured dog and join in the fun at Therapy Dogs United’s fourth annual "Paws in the Park" Responsible Dog Ownership Day on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at Frontier Park (corner of West 8th and the Bayfront). This annual event features live music, a yappy hour and food for pets and people, a chance to get a photo portrait of your pooch, various pet-related vendors, nonprofit animal organizations, raffles, prizes – and you won’t want to miss our “Adoption Alley.” “Paws in the Park” is sponsored by Therapy Dogs United, Inc., in conjunction with the American Kennel Club. Learn dog bite prevention tips, animal safety and humanity, pet education, and more. Join us for our Parade of Breeds at 12:30 p.m.; the region’s largest Blessing of the Dogs at 1 p.m. and you won’t want to miss our Doggie Nuptials at 3 p.m. Free admission, and free doggie bags to the first 200 attendees. This event is held rain or shine. Bring the entire family, your lawn chair - and of course, your dog (all dogs must be on a leash)!
