This dog friendly event will be held Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on March 28-29, 2026 at Fairmount Park Shofuso Japanese Cultural Center in Philadelphia, PA. Sponsored by Japan America Society of Greater Philadelphia and Subaru of America, Inc. Admission is $15 per person; children under 12 and JASGP members are free.

Description
Leashed dogs are welcome at this annual celebration of Japanese arts and culture. The festival features various events throughout the city, highlighting the beauty of Japanese Sakura—the flowering cherry trees that adorn city streets and parks with their distinctive pink and white blossoms. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own food and picnic in Fairmount Park under the trees for an authentic Ohanami experience; however, alcohol consumption is only permitted in designated areas. Dogs are welcome in Fairmount Park during the festival, provided they are on a 6-foot leash, but pets aren't permitted inside Shofuso; only service animals are permitted within the garden.
