Bark in the Park Event at Gran Quivira Unit

Mark your calendars for Bark in the Park Event at Gran Quivira Unit! This dog-friendly event will be held the first Saturday of each month from April through November (except July and October) from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, April 4 through November 7, 2026 at Salinas Pueblo Missions National Monument in Mountainair, NM. The event benefits the B.A.R.K. Ranger Program and Friends of Mountainair Animal Shelter. Visit Website

Description

Leashed dogs are invited to join a BARK Ranger–themed event featuring a guided group hike, educational activities and opportunities to learn about pet etiquette in park settings. Visitors can also enjoy an informational presentation focused on local animal welfare and adoption awareness. Guests are encouraged to bring lunch and relax in the picnic area afterwards.
