Dog Events in Alva, FL

Leash up and lace up for this annual event that benefits the Gulf Coast Humane Society! Choose between the classic chip-timed 5K run/walk (perfect for runners, walkers, and pups of all paces) or take on the hilarious Pizza Run, where you’ll eat a slice, run a quarter mile, and repeat until you’ve conquered four slices and a full mile. After the race, keep the fun going with a post-run pizza party at Grimaldi’s. Water bowls and treats will be available, and there will be photo ops to capture you and your furry friend on the run!

Leashed dogs are welcome to join the festivities, with the official tree lighting! Bring a new unwrapped toy or a donation to support the local toy drive, enjoy festive music and holiday cheer, and ring in the season with the community in the heart of Fort Myers. Printed photos with Santa & Mrs. Claus and face painting are $5 each.
