Dog Eggstravaganza This annual event invites your leashed pup to sniff out treat-filled Easter eggs! There will be separate hunts for large and small dogs. Each egg hunt will last 20 minutes and will take place in the large dog area of the dog park (handlers must be with their dogs at all times). Vendors will also be on site. Dogs in attendance must be leashed, vaccinated, wearing an ID collar, under voice control of their human, and not aggressive. Pre-registration is required as there are limited spots available. PawVogue Promise Pet Fashion Show This elegant three-day pet fashion event is dedicated to raising funds for the Promise Fund, helping pet owners cover emergency vet bills and aiding Asheville’s recovery efforts. The event kicks off Thursday with High Tea, where guests and their pets don tea party attire with big hats. Friday night’s Bubbles and Balloons calls for cocktail party attire, and Saturday’s grand finale has pets dressed in their Bridgerton finest, while owners don formalwear - no costumes permitted for pet owners. Expect an unforgettable experience featuring a pet masseuse, an animal communicator, a live pet portrait artist, raffles, auctions, and even a live performance by "The Bow Wow Band" - a band made up of dogs! General admission ($295) includes high tea, entry to both judged runway nights with dinner for both guest and one pet (additional pets are extra). Bark & Bolt Races This annual event welcomes both runners and walkers, two to four-legged! The 5K course is a scenic, out-and-back route that follows the Oklawaha Greenway. The 1-mile race also follows the Greenway and has one hill just before the finish. It too is on paved surfaces and both courses will have a single water station along the route. The Paw Pursuit 100 Meter Dash is the shortest race. It’s a quick sprint where dogs run alongside their owners to demonstrate their speed and agility. Dogs will be divided into three weight classes: Lightweight, Middleweight, and Heavyweight. See Details
