Dog Events in Barnegat Light, NJ

On select dates, guests can bring Fido and paint a portrait of him! Artist Michele Cahill will help each pet parent masterfully paint their best canine friend. Please note that you must register in advance and email a picture of your dog to Michele prior to attending.

This scenic walk and family-friendly celebration features a canine costume contest, agility course, adoptable dogs, live music, food trucks, games, dozens of vendors, and a beer garden with Dock Street Brewing. More than just a fun day out, the event raises critical funds each year to support PAWS’ mission of making Philadelphia a no-kill city through rescue, adoption and affordable veterinary care.

This free, dog-friendly community event features activities and demonstrations, rescue and adoption organizations, pet vendors, dog photo opportunities, food and drinks, and waterfront fun.

Leashed dogs are welcome at this annual event featuring rescue organizations, craft vendors, pet blessings and more. There will be music, food vendors and a Pet Parade (costume optional) at 2:30 PM with prizes in several categories. All are welcome, with or without a pet. The event will take place rain or shine.

This pet-friendly celebration honors the 800th anniversary of St. Francis of Assisi’s passing with a special service celebrating creation and the debut of Gaia. Pets and their human companions are welcome inside the Cathedral for the service, followed by outdoor pet blessings beginning after the service concludes. A formal animal procession will not be part of the celebration, and passes are not required.

Bring your pets in their cutest, spookiest or most creative costumes! The event features treat stations along the parade route, a purple carpet costume contest, a pet pumpkin patch, a basket auction, a pet photo station, and vendors, plus food and wine available for purchase.

You will get to know what some of the local rescues are doing and how you can help them in their shared mission to find forever homes for the animals in their care. There will be food and drinks, local pet-focused vendors, training demos by Mannered Mutts, a pet blessing service, and more.

Bring Fido to the spookiest time of the year at the Village! Families can enjoy pumpkin painting, a Halloween parade and games throughout the day. A variety of crafters will sell their wares along the Village’s shell-paved lanes, and there will also be music and food vendors. Guests are encouraged to donate non-perishable goods to the ‘Share the Harvest’ Food Drive. Please ensure dogs are leashed and picked up after, and note that your furry friend isn't permitted inside buildings.

This fun-filled mile beach walk benefits the MMSC, New Jersey’s only authorized rescue, rehab, and release facility for marine mammals and sea turtles. Enjoy a scenic stroll with your dog, meet mascot “Luseal,” shop pet-friendly vendors, listen to lively music, and take home a goodie bag with treats, including a Cupid the Seal bandana! Check-in starts at 9 AM and the walk starts at 10 AM.

The 5K Run is a competitive race and there's a 3K run/walk option for dogs (K9 race) where dogs must be leashed. Participants will run or walk through Harborview Park and along parts of the Coast Guard Training Center Cape May.

Bring your Dachshund to the annual running of the Wiener dogs during Oktoberfest at SteelStacks! Purebreds, Dachshund mixes and Wiener Dogs at heart under 25 lbs. are welcome to participate in the races. Gates open for races each Saturday and Sunday at 1:00 PM, and races begin at 1:30 PM. Come early to participate in the Wiener Dog Parade at 12:00 PM!

Celebrate Oktoberfest with Fido and a weekend of German-inspired food, live music, family activities, and a beer garden at Peddler's Village. Guests can stroll among the Village's handcrafted scarecrow displays while enjoying seasonal food and drinks, shopping, and festive entertainment throughout the day.

Pups of all kinds are invited to don their favorite costume or simply trot as they are for the chance for prizes or to be elected President or Chancellor during this annual parade at Oktoberfest at SteelStacks! Each Saturday and Sunday you can sign up your dog before the parade beginning at 12:00 PM at the Oktoberfest Arena. The parade will begin at 12:15 PM. Stick around for the Wiener Dog Races that begin at 1:30 PM!

Highlights include the beloved Wiener Dog Races and the annual Wiener Dog Parade, as well as the Pennsylvania State Steinholding Championship, quirky games, and family-friendly entertainment throughout the Oktoberfest Arena and surrounding Biergartens.

Bring Fido in his best Halloween costume to this annual event featuring The Broad Street Pet Parade, vendors lining the downtown streets filled with pet products, kids activities, unique food fare, live music, specials in downtown stores and much more! Adults 21+ can enjoy a Beer Garden with beer, wine and spirits. The rain date is October 24th.
