Dog Events in Barnwell, SC

This annual event takes place in the historic and Starland districts of Savannah and attracts over 1,000 participants with their furry friends each year. Humans and pets dress up in Halloween costumes and follow event maps to over 100 businesses giving out dog treats and goodies. Enjoy photo ops and Wiener Dog races!

Bring Fido out for a spooktacular Halloween celebration! Show off your best costume during the Halloween fashion show on the iconic Liberty Oak stage at 2:30 PM. Costumes are encouraged, and all ages are welcome to take part in the festivities!

This dog-friendly Halloween event features small-business vendors, food and drink vendors, trick-or-treating and an outdoor DJ. Guests can bring the whole family to enjoy an evening of Halloween fun, shopping, treats and entertainment.

The 2026 event has been rescheduled to Saturday, October 31st If you have a Wiener or almost Wiener dog, you cannot miss this annual event! All Dachshunds will be grouped by weight and must be less than 25 lbs to participate. In addition to racing, there will be other activities like a Doggy Parade and Costume Contest! Dachshund-mix dogs may race in special “Almost Wiener” heat, but are ineligible for the grand prize trophy run. Other breeds are ineligible to race, but are welcome to come cheer on their fur friends! Registered dogs need to check in at the registration desk between 9 AM – 10:45 AM.

Every Saturday during October, bring Fido for a spooky outdoor scavenger hunt through the Wormsloe State Historic Site! Leashed dogs are welcome, but please note that Fido isn't permitted inside buildings. Visitors will follow clues to find the skeletons. If you find them all, you'll receive a treat.

Get ready for a spooktacular day of Halloween fun! On event day, check in and Trick-or-Treat bag distribution will be held 9:30 AM-12:30 PM. Costumes are encouraged for kids, adults, and leashed dogs! The costume contest will be held at 12:00 PM.

This dog-friendly Halloween brunch features complimentary pup cups, $7 mimosas for guests with costumed dogs, a festive photo backdrop and a costume contest with categories for Best Big Dog, Best Little Dog and Best Human + Pup Duo. Each category winner receives a $50 gift card and dog-themed gift basket. Reservations are recommended.

Leashed dogs are welcome for a fun-filled day to celebrate the fall season! Guests will enjoy live bluegrass music from local bands, BBQ, food vendors, a craft market and much more! Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and/or blankets as needed.

This dog-friendly holiday fun run and walk invites participants to enjoy a two-mile course through the enchanting Holiday Festival of Lights. Guests can explore more than 200 dazzling light displays and enjoy the festival’s amenities with their pups.

Leashed dogs are welcome as spectators at this beloved annual event featuring the creations of acclaimed lantern artist Chantelle Rytter, along with hundreds of colorful lanterns crafted by residents, visitors, school groups, and local organizations. The parade starts at Alder Lane Beach Access, travels north along the Coligny Beach coastline, and concludes with a festival at Lowcountry Celebration Park.

Lowcountry Dog Magazine is celebrating a birthday, and you're invited with your leashed pup! There will be live music as well as great food trucks and drinks, local vendors, and tons of adoptable dogs!

Lowcountry Dog Magazine, Dean's Dogs, Charleston Veterinary Referral Center present this fun dog-friendly holiday event that will feature over 20 craft vendors, savory and sweet food trucks, adoptable pets from more than 10 local rescues and shelters, plus live music and more!

You and Fido are welcome to join in the fun at this Thanksgiving race that weaves through the beautiful Shandon Neighborhood. Participants are encouraged to dress in their best and most creative Thanksgiving Turkey Burn Attire. Prizes will be awarded for the top three most creative outfits! The race will be held rain or shine, and strollers and leashed dogs are welcome!

Leashed dogs are invited to participate in this annual event that begins at the museum where you'll pick up a trail map and clues. Then, you'll take the 3-mile Battery Trail searching for clues! Finishers who find all the clues can return to the museum to claim a prize (while supplies last!). Please note that dogs aren't permitted inside buildings.
