Furry, feathered, and even scaly friends are welcome to celebrate the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi at this annual outdoor blessing. In celebration of this day, they’re collecting cat and dog food and other pet supplies for Blue Ridge Humane Society at all services on this day as well.

Furry, feathered, and scaly companions are invited to this special service in the Wilderness Chapel on the Trails of St. John in Flat Rock. All domestic animals are welcome to receive a blessing, or you may bring a stuffed animal or photo instead. The service honors the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi and his legacy of peace and love for all creatures. In case of rain, the service will move indoors to the Parish Hall.
