Dog Events in Beaufort, SC

Leashed dogs are welcome as spectators at this beloved annual event featuring the creations of acclaimed lantern artist Chantelle Rytter, along with hundreds of colorful lanterns crafted by residents, visitors, school groups, and local organizations. The parade starts at Alder Lane Beach Access, travels north along the Coligny Beach coastline, and concludes with a festival at Lowcountry Celebration Park.

Bring your pups for a festive post-Christmas celebration as they strut their stuff in a holiday parade led by Santa! All breeds and sizes are welcome to join the fun, so dress your dogs in their best holiday outfits and spread the cheer. Guests can take photos with Santa and enjoy dog games following the parade near the Liberty Oak Stage.

Take a walk with Fido along the harbour and take in the dazzling seasonal displays, including the centerpiece, a towering Christmas tree! While enjoying the festivities, you can also make a difference by supporting the Deep Well Project. Just drop off canned goods or a new, unwrapped child’s toy in the well by the Liberty Oak stage.
