Dog Events in Cape Meares, OR

Bring Fido for a scenic train ride along the Tillamook Coast to enjoy fall’s vibrant colors. Dogs are welcome in the open-air cars. This fall train excursion offers panoramic views of forests, the Nehalem Bay coastline and the Coast Range mountains. Passengers can learn about the history of the railroad and surrounding natural areas from onboard docents before enjoying a 45-minute layover in Wheeler to explore local shops and food options. Trips depart at 2 PM on Fridays, and at 11 AM and 2 PM on Saturdays and Sundays.

Dogs are allowed aboard the Candy Cane Express in the outdoor covered car! Offered by the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad, this festive, 1-hour train ride runs from Garibaldi to Rockaway Beach and back, and features holiday decorations, complimentary hot cocoa, cookies, and a visit from Santa.
