Dog Events in Cherokee, NC

This popular holiday parade lights up downtown Gatlinburg with illuminated floats, larger-than-life balloons, marching bands, and holiday performances, with more than a million LED Christmas lights adding to the seasonal spectacle. With more than 80,000 usually in attendance, dogs must be leashed at all times and good with crowds. The parade features large balloons, marching bands, and loud sounds, so it may be stressful for some dogs.

On two Saturdays this season, bring Fido along to downtown to enjoy the festivities! Each Saturday will feature different activities like the town's tree lighting, great photo opportunities, sales at downtown merchants, photos with Santa, and more.

Enjoy a drive-thru light show with Fido! You'll see LED holiday displays while listening to festive music on your mobile device right from your vehicle. Tickets can be purchased online or at the gate. Fido must remain inside your car with you at all times.

Bring Fido along to this drive-through holiday light show featuring millions of twinkling lights, custom LED displays, towering Christmas trees, a Snowflake Express Train, Santa’s North Pole home, a Nativity scene, and a Tree of Lights Tunnel. Dogs are welcome but must remain inside the vehicle while driving through the display. The event runs rain or shine.
