Explore the history of Rockwood Hall with docent David Teich and your furry companion on a scenic 2-mile hike overlooking the Hudson. Discover the site’s rich past, lush forests and remnants of 19th-century luxuries. Make sure to wear layers and bring enough water for you and Fido. This hike is at Rockwood Hall; don't go to the main entrance. The parking lot is on Kendal Way off Route 117, just after the intersection of Phelps and Regeneron. If the lot is full, you may park in the Phelps garage. Please register in advance as the hike is limited to 40 people.

Highlights include pet contests, demonstrations from the Sheriff’s K-9 Unit and Mounted Patrol, adoptable pets from local rescues, pet-focused vendors, live entertainment, food trucks, a beer garden and family-friendly activities. Funds raised support local animal advocacy initiatives, including the Sheriff’s K-9 and Mounted Patrol Units.

Bring Fido to this Halloween-themed gathering of costumed canines and their owners! Watch adorable pups strut their stuff in creative and charming outfits for a chance to win fantastic prizes for the most creative costumes. Note that this event is only open to Fair Lawn residents.

Enjoy creepy crafts, face painting, and spine-tingling stories with LINC on the museum lawn. At 3:00 PM, don’t miss the Annual Pup Parade & Canine Costume Contest. Pups can be registered from 2:00–2:45 PM or pre-register online. Cap off the evening with a Nocturnal Creatures and Wildlife Hike led by the Urban Park Rangers from 6:00–7:30 PM.

The Arthritis Foundation’s race is the original festive race for charity with your pup. It’s where you can strut your stuff in your favorite holiday costume. Bring a team of friends, family, and co-workers to run or walk. Please ensure your dog is kept on a leash. Check-in starts at 9 AM and the race begins at 10:30 AM.
