This annual, family-friendly Oktoberfest‑style festival is a lively event attracting thousands of people each year for free live music on multiple stages, a beer and winegarten, and a marketplace featuring unique food, arts, and craft vendors. The event also offers fun-filled competitions like beer stein races, corn-hole, Pig Mac eating, sausage tosses, and the popular Woosterfest Wiener Dog Race on Saturday!

This popular portion of the annual Woosterfest celebration takes place on the festival’s Saturday schedule. Dachshund enthusiasts are invited to bring their speedy pups to dash through downtown Wooster’s streets in age-based heats, “Little Smokies” through “Knockwursts.” Beyond racing, participants show off their pups’ flair with a costume contest, with prizes for both speed and style! All dogs must be leashed before and after their sprint, comfortable in a group setting, and under handler control at all times.

Bring your costumed pup in for treats, paw painting, giveaways, drinks, photo ops and more spooky fun! Costume contest winners will be announced at 1:40 PM.

Indulge in an evening of fun with Fido! Your ticket includes a glass of wine and one entry into a raffle. Food trucks will be on site for those wanting to buy meals. The event takes place on the patio as dogs aren't permitted inside the tasting room. Don't forget your camera to capture the breathtaking scenery at this renowned winery.

On select dates throughout the year, pups are invited to this special after‑hours event where you can explore the zoo designated areas of the zoo together.
