This dog-friendly Halloween event invites pups and their people to dress in costume, collect candy and pet treats, and shop handmade pet bandanas. Guests can enjoy dirty sodas, coffee, hot chocolate and other drinks while browsing jewelry from The Sparking Hour and learning about dog training and activities from Firefly K9.

This dog-friendly Halloween festival features an afternoon of spooky fun for the whole family! Highlights include games and activities in Memorial Park, downtown trick-or-treating, the famous Monster March costume parade along Main Street and a costume contest.

Leashed dogs are welcome at the annual holiday parade that starts at the intersection of 4th Street NW and 1st Avenue NW. The parade will continue on 1st Avenue NW towards City Hall, turn right on North Center Street, and then right on Main Avenue NW to Union Square. Immediately following the parade, Santa will light the tree on Union Square. Guests can enjoy holiday music, shopping specials and more!

Bring Fido to this fun, annual event featuring a 1-mile fun run for kids, followed by the 10K walk/run and 5K races. Four-legged pacesetters can run with their owners in either of the races. A turkey and trophy will be awarded to the top male & female in the 5K and 10K.

This family- and dog-friendly holiday celebration kicks off the season with games, live music, caroling, hot chocolate and visits with Santa. The town is illuminated during the festivities, and the celebration is followed the next morning by the annual Christmas Parade along Main Street!

Bring Fido to stroll through Blowing Rock and see all the gorgeous ice sculptures during Blowing Rock WinterFest! Artisan Ice Sculptures is one of only five Master Ice Carvers in the United States. A dozen ice sculptures will be on display in front of businesses in town. Please note that the duration of the ice art is dependent on the weather.

If you're attending the Blowing Rock WinterFest with Fido, don't miss the annual Polar Bear Plunge at Chetola Lake! Leashed dogs are welcome as spectators to watch brave human participants take a daring dip into icy waters. Spend the weekend in a dog-friendly room on site at Chetola Resort! The plunge starts at 10 AM and plungers must be checked-in by 9:30 AM.

Bring Fido to the Village of Blowing Rock to celebrate the fun side of winter at this annual event! Activities throughout the weekend include the WinterPaws Dog Show, ice carvings at the Artisan Ice Stroll, an icy Polar Bear Plunge in Chetola Lake, a winter beer garden, and more. Not all activities are dog friendly, so be sure to inquire first before bringing Fido.
