Dress up in your most creative Halloween costume and enjoy the fall fun with your entire family! This spooktacular event is a great weekend for pumpkin picking. There will be candy giveaways, a children's costume contest and a family pumpkin carving contest. Please ensure Fido is kept on a leash and that you pick up after your pup.

Spend the evening exploring downtown with Fido!Each Thursday, vehicles of all kinds gather for a lively community evening. Classic cars, hot rods, trucks, motorcycles, tractors, and antiques line the streets as visitors stroll the square, admire the rides, and enjoy the local atmosphere.

Marion Animal Care and Control will be offering a vaccine clinic once a quarter (currently scheduled for January 30th, April 24th, July 24th, and October 30th), including DAPP vaccines for dogs (Distemper, Adenovirus, Parvovirus, Parainfluenza) and HCP vaccines for cats (Calicivirus, Herpesvirus, Panleukopenia). Low-cost services include $10 microchips, $5 dewormer and $8 flea treatment. Please note that rabies vaccines will not be available at this clinic. All animals must arrive on a leash or in a secure carrier.

Bring your leashed pup for a morning walk through Fernwood’s gardens and nature trails. On select Saturdays, members and visitors can explore designated areas together and enjoy time outdoors with their dogs. Members receive early entry at 9 AM with free admission for both humans and dogs; general visitors can join from 10 AM with standard admission and a small fee per dog. To keep the experience safe and enjoyable for all guests, dogs must be supervised, vaccinated, and kept on established paths, with certain areas of the garden remaining dog‑free. Enjoy a 5K or 1-mile walk along the well-groomed, stroller-friendly trails of Strawtown Koteewi Park with your furry, leashed companion. The event benefits the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Community Foundation.

You and your leashed pup are invited to run alongside other participants in this 5K race on Thanksgiving morning!

Leashed dogs are welcome at this Thanksgiving walk/run that goes through the streets and neighborhoods of Crown Point. Admission includes finisher medals to the first 500 participants, donuts, and race awards to the top overall male and female and top three in each age group. Dress up for the costume contests! Please note that dogs aren't permitted inside buildings.

On the first Friday of each month (except January and July), bring Fido and enjoy extended hours at dozens of local businesses, live music throughout town, engaging art displays, special events, exclusive deals, and one-of-a-kind experiences. It’s the perfect evening to explore, shop, dine, and enjoy the vibrant community spirit of Franklin.

The event also marks the arrival of Santa - who will then be available for wish list conversations and photos. Judging for the event is from 1:00 PM to 2:45 PM, and the parade starts promptly at 3:00 PM. Prizes will be awarded after the parade so stick around!
