Dog Events in Rainbow City, AL

This annual event will feature craft beer, great food, cocktails, and the release of seasonal Oktoberfest beer. There will also be live music, a stein-hoisting competition, a keg toss, the ARTOBERfest artist market featuring local makers, and the popular Wiener Dog Race!

The Wiener Dog Race is part of the annual Oktoberfest at Cahaba Brewing Company! All dogs are welcome at Oktoberfest, but only Dachshunds can run in the race. The festival also features live music, craft beer, great food, cocktails, and the release of seasonal Oktoberfest beer.

An international disc-dog competition where top canine athletes compete in distance, accuracy, and freestyle disciplines at Coolidge Park. Spectators are welcome and attendees may bring leashed dogs during the event weekend.

Start off your day with a one-mile fun run with Fido through Ashley Park followed by live entertainment, pet vendors and lots of family-friendly activities. Hearts ‘n Homes will also have dogs on site that are in need of furever homes.

OktoFURfest is part of the annual Cullman Oktoberfest weekend and includes the festival's famous Wiener Dog Races, a pet costume contest, and more fun for Fido! Stick around after the races for Yappy Hour at the Wüffenplatz Dog Park at 5 PM.

Bring Fido to this annual celebration of German heritage and one of North Alabama’s largest and most anticipated events each year. There's a multitude of activities, including a biergarten, an arts & crafts show, wagon rides, live German music, kids’ activities, a Wiener Dog race, and so much more! There's even a grassy play area for pups - the Wüffenplatz! The nearby Tito's Bar ensures no one get's thirsty. On Saturday, Fido can also enjoy the festivities at the OktoFURfest event!

Bring Fido to this spooky pet parade with eerie decorations and ghostly tunes, prizes for the best costumes, and treats for all! The first parade is at 12 PM and the second is at 3 PM. Each pet may participate in one parade only. Pets may not be entered into both parades.

Experience a night full of festive fun with lively entertainment, from a spirited pet costume contest featuring furry friends in their Halloween finest to a stein hoist competition for those ready to show off their strength. Browse unique finds from local vendors and snap keepsake photos in a charming Oktoberfest-themed photo booth.

Runners and their pups will take on wide, easy-to-navigate trails featuring rolling, flowy terrain for the first three miles, followed by a one-mile climb back to the finish. Traditional leashes and canicross setups are welcome, but please note flexi-leashes or face collars are not permitted. Fido can join the 4-mile dog-friendly race, or watch from the sidelines as the regular 4-mile race begins 30 minutes later.

Explore Alabama's wildlife and outdoor traditions with your leashed pup at this annual festival in historic downtown Wetumpka. The event features wildlife art, live painting, educational presentations, workshops, vendors, food, children's activities, sporting dog demonstrations, animal encounters, and a DockDogs competition featuring Big Air, Extreme Vertical, and Speed Retrieve.

You and your Schnauzer are encouraged to come and join in this historic event! The event will include the Guinness World Record attempt of the largest dog walk of one breed ever in an official parade. There will also be contests, a photo booth, live music, vendors and more. All breeds are welcome.

Leashed dogs are welcome at this annual seasonal celebration of autumn atop Lookout Mountain, where guests can enjoy fall foliage, festive décor and family‑friendly activities throughout the season. The experience includes seasonal displays (like the large scale lighted jack-o’-lantern displays), scenic walking paths, photo opportunities, and themed attractions that highlight the colors and spirit of fall.

Hosted by the Humane Educational Society, attendees are invited to bring their leashed dogs to socialize while supporting HES. Oddstory will donate $1 to HES for every pint sold during the event. Guests will find adoptable pups and information on fostering and volunteering. Please note that is a 21+ establishment.

The Arthritis Foundation’s race is the original festive race for charity with your pup. It’s where you can strut your stuff in your favorite holiday costume. Bring a team of friends, family, and co-workers to run or walk. Please ensure your dog is kept on a leash. Check-in is at 8 AM and the race begins at 9 AM.

Join the weekly trivia night at the Rocket City Dog Bar! Attendees can bring registered dogs, provided they meet vaccination and registration requirements. A dog day-pass option is available for those who need it. Enjoy a night of fun, games and furry friends!

Wander through themed trails with Fido, like the Magic Forest, Arctic Kingdom, Fairyland Caverns, and Carter Cliffs, where millions of LED lights illuminate rock formations, tree tunnels, and Santa’s cozy workshop. Enjoy hot cocoa, gingerbread decorating, seasonal treats and even nightly visits with Santa (through Dec. 23). Tickets are timed-entry and online only.
