Cleveland Oktoberfest Wiener Dog Races

The Cleveland Oktoberfest hosts Wiener Dog Races as part of the festival! The event will include heats for adult Dachshunds (1-8 years old) as well as for puppies (8 weeks to 1 year) and seniors (8 years and older). The adults run 40 feet, while puppies and seniors run 25 feet (though a few just run back to their owners). Four dogs will race in each heat. Races will be held Sat, Sept 5th – Mon, Sept 7th, and Sat, Sept 12th, with a costume contest at 3 PM each day.

There will be designated seating for you to watch the game (Sections 120 and 121) as well as special water stations, mini-pools, and designated restroom areas. Fans with their dogs will enter Fifth Third Field through the Center Field Gate on St. Clair Street. Be sure your pup is on a six ft. (or less) leash and well-mannered.
