Dog Events in Ward, CO

Fido's invited to this annual Halloween race that courses through scenic terrain including Ralston Creek Trail and around Blunn Reservoir, ideal for both beginners and seasoned runners. There’s also a costume contest, full race swag (custom bibs, medals with free engraving, etc.), and plenty of on-course support.

Bring your furry running buddy along for this fun annual race! Choose from the 10K run, the shorter 5K trot, or the untimed 2K toddle. About 1.5 miles of the 5K and 10K courses are on crushed gravel, with the rest on smooth concrete. Awards will be given to the top three men and women overall (by gun time) and the top three in each age group (by chip time). The top 10 finishers in the 2K Toddle will also earn recognition!

On select Saturdays this winter, learn the sport of cross-country skiing with your dog as you head out on the award-winning Nordic ski trails at Devil’s Thumb Ranch. Skijoring is easy to learn, an incredible workout, and a fun activity for both of you to enjoy during the winter. Meet outside at Zach's Mercantile 30 minutes before the clinic to be outfitted.
