Dog Events in Westcliffe, CO

Registered Dachshunds are invited to the festival on Saturday and Sunday to race in this annual competition! Each racing team must have one Dachshund-breed dog, one person to release and one person to catch. Dogs are raced based on age, and race until a winner is declared in each age group. Dachshunds must be registered to attend and no other dog breeds will be permitted.

You and your leashed pup are invited to help Karl's Canine Krew at this community clean up! Supplies like gloves and trash bags will be provided. After the cleanup, enjoy a short walk and group photo to commemorate your efforts.

This dog-friendly Halloween celebration features a dog costume contest, dog bar, dog crafts, a dog communicator, DJ entertainment, food and beer for humans, and trick-or-treating at participating stores. Dogs can compete in categories including Spookiest, Best Duo or Group, Funniest and Most Creative, with prizes awarded to the top three winners in each category.
