As part of the annual Oktoberfest at The Wharf festival, the crowd favorite Wiener dog races will be hosted by Tommy McFly. Prizes are awarded to the speediest dogs. All breeds are welcome to watch, but only Dachshunds can participate in the race. There will also be an Adoptable Dog Parade between the Dachshund races.

Don your dirndl or lederhosen, leash up your pup and head to to this fun annual festival! Polka dance by the water and cheer on the speediest Dachshunds in Annual Wiener 500 Dachshund Dash. Take part in a stein hoisting championship and polka dance lessons. Food and drinks are also available for purchase at all Wharf bars and restaurants. Pets are allowed in outdoor spaces. The Wharf will provide water for pets to drink and small pools for pets to splash in.

Celebrate the feast day of Saint Francis of Assisi, patron saint of animals and the environment. Pets and their people are invited to gather at the west front of the Cathedral for a special blessing.

Bring your beloved pets to receive a blessing, or, if your pet is shy or difficult to transport, feel free to bring a photo instead. Following the service, outdoor blessings will also be available for neighborhood pets and those more comfortable outside.

Bring a team of friends, family, and co-workers to run or walk. Please ensure your dog is kept on a leash. Check in starts at 8 AM and the race begins at 9 AM.

Enjoy a monthly dog-friendly yappy hour featuring Tito's cocktail specials, pet treats, desserts, and a welcoming social atmosphere for dog lovers. Guests can mingle with fellow pet owners, capture fun photos, and browse offerings from local vendors while supporting a good cause. A portion of proceeds from select drinks benefits the Humane Rescue Alliance.
