Dog Events Near Methodist Metropolitan, San Antonio, TX, US

Bring Fido to this annual run/walk on Thanksgiving morning. This family and pet-friendly event is one of the few races through downtown and the Historic King William Neighborhood. Every registration provides a turkey for a family facing hunger this holiday season. This event is held rain or shine unless the weather is severe. Dogs must be leashed at all times.

Leashed dogs are welcome in the free spectator sections along the San Antonio River Walk for this annual holiday event! The parade will feature 32 illuminated and entertaining floats and over 100,000 holiday lights. Free spectator areas are available on a first-come, first-served basis on the East side of the River Walk between Pecan Street and Richmond Avenue.

The Arthritis Foundation’s race is the original festive race for charity with your pup. It’s where you can strut your stuff in your favorite holiday costume. Bring a team of friends, family, and co-workers to run or walk. Please ensure your dog is kept on a leash. Check-in starts at 8:00 AM and the race begins at 8:45 AM.

Celebrate New Year's Eve with Fido during a special dog-friendly day at the zoo! Explore the grounds together, enjoy tasty treats and snap festive photos while making memories with your pup. Dogs must be at least 4 months old, current on required vaccinations with proof provided, and kept on a non-retractable leash no longer than 6 feet. One dog per adult is allowed. Some areas, including indoor restaurants, animal encounters and aviaries, are off-limits to dogs.

Leashed dogs are welcome with you to experience the spectacular display of over 100,000 lights draped over the towering bald cypress trees that line the River Walk at this annual event! Holiday lights are on the downtown portion of the River Walk.
