Open Streets ICT - Douglas Leashed dogs are welcome at this family-friendly event that closes Douglas Avenue to vehicle traffic, creating a car‑free space for biking, walking, running, skating and more. The Douglas hub is part of the route that also includes Naftzger Park and East High, with food, activities, and entertainment along four big hubs. See Details
Woofstock Bring Fido out to fall's fluffiest festival and KHS' largest annual fundraiser! Guests are invited to participate in the Woof Walk & Breakfast, listen to live music, and compete in stage contests. Run for Paws 5K This dog-friendly 5K fundraiser welcomes friendly, people-loving pups to join their owners for a fall run or walk. Proceeds benefit the Lantz Tucker Memorial Fund, which provides urgent, lifesaving veterinary care for pets whose families need financial assistance. Kansas City Renaissance Festival Barktoberfest Dog lovers and beverage enthusiasts, rejoice! Dogs are welcome every weekend at the Kansas City Renaissance Festival, but this themed weekend is just for them! There will be fun dog contests and races. Guests can enjoy German-inspired food, drinks, entertainment, and dress in their best lederhosen or dirndl. In order to bring your dog to the Festival, you must fill out a registration form including your dog’s vaccination records and a photo of your dog. Jingle Bell Run - Kansas City This Arthritis Foundation’s race is the original festive race for charity with your pup. It’s where you can strut your stuff in your favorite holiday costume.
