Dogs of all sizes are welcome at Barkwells with a fully refundable $100 pet deposit (and a $25 non-refundable fee if there are more than 2 dogs in a cabin). All cabins have gated porches, dog doors and fenced yards so your dog can stay in the comfort of home while you are away enjoying the day. There is also a dog wash on the office porch with shampoo and dog towels for your dog's use after a swim in the pond.

What is the Barkwells pet policy?
Dogs of all sizes are welcome at Barkwells with a fully refundable $100 pet deposit (and a $25 non-refundable fee if there are more than 2 dogs in a cabin). All cabins have gated porches, dog doors and fenced yards so your dog can stay in the comfort of home while you are away enjoying the day. There is also a dog wash on the office porch with shampoo and dog towels for your dog's use after a swim in the pond.
Are big dogs allowed at Barkwells?
Yes! Barkwells allows large dogs.
Are multiple pets allowed at Barkwells?
Yes! Barkwells welcomes multiple pets. If you’re traveling with a lot of pets, and want to double check before booking, our “Canine Concierge” is always available to assist.
Does Barkwells allow cats?
No, Barkwells doesn’t allow cats. If you’re traveling with a feline friend, try using our “Cats Allowed” filter to see all of the hotels in Mills River that allow cats.
What are the check-in and check-out times at Barkwells?
Check-in at Barkwells is 4pm – 8pm. Check-out is before 10am. If you’d like to request an early or late check-in or check-out, you can make a special request when you book.
