    Great time!

Cypress Inn is by far the most dog friendly hotel. The location is ideal as the dog friendly beach is a short walk away.

    Historical classic

Great customer service, clean, beautiful historical Inn. Really loved the people there, very helpful. Location in downtown, you can walk to stores & restaurants, and a few blocks from the beach. Would love to visit again.

The BEST we have ever experienced

Exceptional service all around. Staff assisted me with business issues, printing document at no charge. Wait staff extremely efficient and friendly. Bell staff extremely friendly, even remembering our dog’s name 2 days later. Rooms are immaculate. Well run breakfast service with attention to every detail. Very impressed. Truly living up to your reputation as the best dog friendly hotel.

    Really Great Experience

My Black Standard Poodle and I decided to drive to Carmel and stay at the famous Cypress Inn. We had room 217 with was perfect for the two of us. The room had a very nice balcony for my pooch. The downside was the noise. The room is directly above the kitchen. I loved that there were dogs everywhere! It was a very good time. Best part, the entire beach at Carmel is off-leash. Go early in the morning where you'll meet really nice locals and their dogs. Side note: Both me AND my dog had an in-room massage! Also, there is a Whale Watching Company that allows well behaved dogs on the boat.

    Not quite what I expected

We checked in with our small dachshund last week for one night at the Cypress Inn. I was excited to spend the night there given its unique history and the very good reviews. The desk staff was excellent and showed me to the room. The room looked very nice and spacious but I quickly noticed that it was very loud. Room #109 was right over the restaurant. I could hear conversations even with window closed. I asked the front desk what time the restaurant closed and was told they stopped serving at 9:30. However, it wasn’t until 10:30 that patrons were all gone and staff had cleaned up. We paid a lot of money for the room and never even got a bowl for the dog after asking for one. Also when I opened the closet it smelled like pet urine. I didn’t use the closet needless to say.
