Older hotel and a bit worn. Credit to them that the bed was comfortable & linens were clean, but the rest of the room was not. Everything was covered in a layer of dust and the floor was sticky. Microwave did not work, nor did half of the lights. Staff was accommodating & there was a small area to walk the dog. Not sure if I would go back.

I regret making a reservation ahead of seeing this hotel. It was nonrefundable, so my husband, pup, and I tried to stay here but were uncomfortable. There were multiple junk cars with instate license plates and sketchy clientele. It was noisy, and we could hear voices from the hall or other rooms, causing the dog to bark frequently. We didn’t sleep well and left in the early morning hours.

The room was decent. It was clean though a little worn out. There was very little green space for the dogs. While I was there, there was a lot of activity late into the night. The dog barked a lot, and it interrupted my sleep quite a bit. It seemed to be coming from some of the workers that were staying there. There is no breakfast.

Of all the hotels in the Fredericksburg area this is the only one where it’s nearly impossible to exit the parking lot and easily go left where all of the local restaurants are located. Had to leave a day early due to our Marine grandson’s schedule.

The room is adequate and dirty, the bed is a bottom sheet and flimsy comforter, no top sheet; do they wash that comforter every time? I was on the 3rd floor and there was banging and thumping all night, I think people going up and down the exit stairs; not sure but at first I had to keep my dogs from barking at the noises, it was loud! The room was $159 for 2 beds; with taxes and fees I spent over $200 for a dirty room. Don't do it!

Pets should be on a low floor…preferably on the ground floor. Having to bring our 18 year old dog up and down the elevator to the 4th floor was a royal pain. As for the human side of the equation, there was no toilet paper in the room, and there were crumbs from the previous customer all over the counters. Beds were comfortable.

I could not stay at this hotel. I literally checked in after a long day of driving from New England, brushed my teeth and left. The hotel did not feel safe to me, and I knew I would not be able to close my eyes, let alone leave my car outside. The clerk was extremely nice and helpful, but so many customers were giving him a hard time for strange things like having credit cards with different names on it, seemed like everyone just got released from prison or the nut house.

We have stayed at the Candlewood Suites in other locations, this one disappointed. We had a broken coffee maker, went to the front desk and were given another broken one. There were no glasses or silverware in the kitchenette, in fact it was bare, I felt like anything that could have been taken was gone. There was no coffee available in the downstairs concession. No one seemed to care about anything. The bed was comfortable and the towels were nice, that is about the best I can say. We will not stop there again.

The staff was absolutely fantastic! The rooms were a bit dusty, and we had one issue with one of the beds that was taken care of IMMEDIATELY. There was only 1 garbage pail in the whole room, by the kitchen table. The issues I had were small. What’s more important to me is how they made me feel, which was a treasured guest. I cannot stress enough that the staff is friendly, welcoming, polite and all-around fantastic

Very clean and dog friendly. Could use a little updating. The chair in my room was torn and the conditioner bottle in the shower was empty but it is dog friendly and only charged $25 for the dog fee. The place I stayed the next night wasn’t any fancier and charged a $100 non refundable dog fee.

Very convenient to highway and places to eat. The room was nice, good sized and very clean. My dog didn’t even sniff around at any smells in the room and he settled right in. Good area to walk the dog.

I tried this hotel based on one lonely review and was not disappointed. The room was clean and place was very dog friendly. Staff were very helpful and friendly. As usual with highway-convenient hotels, it was noisy at night so I just left the fan running. It's mainly an extended stay chain so they don't provide a full breakfast but do open their store of yogurts, cereal, milk, etc in the morning free to guests and they also provide coffee and danish/breads. The dog walk area is narrow but there's other green space nearby and the hotel provides waste bags. We'll stay at this place and chain again

Almost did not try this place due to no reviews. This is the best place we’ve stayed at thus far with our German Shepherd. Convenient right off the highway. Our room ...104... on first floor had a Full kitchen with stove, dishwasher, full size refrigerator, microwave. Staff super friendly. When in this area this is where we will stay in the future.
