Description
Every year, thousands of sandhill cranes head to the Mormon Island State Recreation Area to engage in their courtship rituals, attracting thousands of visitors who wish to view this unique natural display. It's just one of the many impressive wildlife displays on offer at the park, which was named for its historic use as a stopping-point for Mormom travelers heading west to settle. The campground itself includes a swimming beach with changing house, restrooms, electrical hookups, a shower building and laundromat.
