Nestled among the trees of Hiawatha National Forest near Munising, Maple Ridge Cabin offers a peaceful Upper Peninsula getaway surrounded by nature. This spacious chalet-style cabin provides the perfect basecamp for exploring Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, waterfalls, scenic trails, and Lake Superior adventures.

Guests love Maple Ridge for its comfortable layout, beautiful forest setting, and welcoming cabin atmosphere. Whether you're visiting for summer adventures, fall color tours, hunting season, or winter snowmobiling, this cabin offers a relaxing retreat in every season.

The Main Living Area

The main floor features a warm and welcoming great room with vaulted ceilings, comfortable seating, and large windows that bring the beauty of the surrounding forest indoors.

The kitchen is fully equipped with:

• Gas range

• Quartz countertops

• Plenty of cooking and serving equipment

The adjacent dining area provides a great space for meals together after a day of exploring the Upper Peninsula.

The main level also features a large mudroom entryway, perfect for coats, boots, and outdoor gear.

Bedrooms and Sleeping Areas – Sleeps up to 12

Loft Master Bedroom

The primary sleeping area is located in the secluded loft, offering a peaceful retreat above the main living space. While the loft does not have a door, it is positioned so it cannot be seen from the great room below, creating a comfortable and private sleeping space.

Main Floor Bedroom

Queen bed and twin bed with a full bathroom located directly across the hallway.

Lower Level Bedroom

Additional bedroom located in the finished lower level.

The layout works well for families or small groups traveling together.

Lower Level Living Space

The lower level offers a second living area, giving guests additional room to spread out and relax.

Features include:

• Comfortable seating area with Roku streaming TV

• Wet bar

• Third bedroom

• Laundry room

• Sliding glass doors leading outside to the lower yard

Having two living spaces makes the cabin especially comfortable for families or groups.

Outdoor Living

One of the highlights of Maple Ridge Cabin is the large elevated deck overlooking the wooded yard below. Guests can enjoy morning coffee, outdoor meals at the table and chairs, or relaxing evenings surrounded by the peaceful forest. Guests can access the upper deck from the Main Floor living room sliding doors.

The lower yard features a fire pit area, perfect for gathering around the campfire after a day of adventure.

A charcoal grill is available for outdoor cooking during the warmer months.

The property also includes a detached garage, which guests often appreciate for storing outdoor gear or working on sleds during winter months.

With ample parking for vehicles and trailers, Maple Ridge is especially convenient for guests bringing snowmobiles, boats, or other equipment.

Outdoor Recreation Nearby

Guests are close to many inland lakes perfect for fishing, swimming, and kayaking. Visitors often bring their own kayaks or rent from Baldy Shores Kayaking, conveniently located just across the road.

• Cranberry Lake Lodge and Moose Lodge on Cranberry Lake (aka Cranberry Lake Log Home) are located next door to each other on Cranberry Lake. The homes remain private from one another yet are connected by a peaceful woods trail between the properties.

• Lindberg’s Landing on West Branch Lake is also located nearby, approximately 1.2 miles from the Cranberry Lake properties, making it another convenient option for additional guests.

• Doc’s Place and Downtown Cottage are located next door to each other in downtown Munising and can be rented together for larger families or groups traveling together.

• Maple Ridge, Hiawatha’s Hideaway, Rainbow’s Promise on Town Lake, and The Perch on Town Lake are all located within the same general area, allowing larger groups to stay close together while still enjoying separate cabins and private spaces.
