First let me say that the staff at this Hampton Inn were great, which is why we are giving this 4 bones, rather than 3. Here's the low down: Rooms are well appointed with comfortable bedding and they are clean! Downside... the room we were in was TINY!!! By far, the smallest Hotel room of any where we stayed and the shower was also small, and could've used some updating. I really like that this hotel put us on on the first floor, near an exit, making it really easy to take our dog out. A bummer was that the lock to the exit door was broken, and we weren't able to get out of that exit.
We were referred, by the sweet staff, to use the stairway door; however, that door also stopped working. The breakfast was good; however they ran out of plates early on during breakfast because they didn't receive a deliver the day before. It was a bit confusing, because if the staff knew that they didn't receive their delivery of plates, I would've thought that one of them would've gone to the store to pick some up; instead, we ate our eggs and potatoes out of a bowl. For sure not they end of the world, but a small inconvenience.

The room was great, very clean and a good size. Lots of grass for the dogs. Lots of guests not picking up poop though. I don’t know if a few trash cans and bags would help or not. We were on the bottom floor right next to the hallway leading to the exterior door. The hallway was parallel to the side of our room. There was a door leading into the hallway and a door at the end going outside. The exterior door spring caused the door to slam shut when people came and went so it was a noisy night. First a door slam at one end and then another door opening and closing, shortly after. So our dogs were kind of on guard all night. On the other hand, it was a convenient location to get the dogs in and out.

Great place to stop, right off I-10. New hotel, rooms were clean, and no problem checking in with the dog; they had everything on file.

Rooms are so clean. Supercharger for our Tesla and grass outside to walk our little dog.

The rooms are very small . There is ample grassy area to walk your dog & it’s well lit at night! Many irresponsible dog owners left the grounds littered with dog crap! There are no dog poop bag/trash stations but no excuse! The dead grass is filled with goat head stickers so check your pup’s paws & they track into the carpet in the room! Ouch! Other than that not bad, just pricey at $140+ a night!!

We’ve stayed here twice and enjoyed the updated rooms and all the grassy area available to walk dogs.
In June, on our last stay, we found they no longer charged a pet fee, so double check that on the hotel site.
It’s a great place for dogs.
That said, while staff was pleasant, we did find a couple of ticks in one of the Queen beds, which smelled doggy. It might have been given too quick a cleaning that day.
Things happen. I told the front desk about it and thought they’d offer some Hilton points, but they didn’t.
I also found, as a light sleeper on the first floor, that I could hear a lot of noise overhead from kids running up and down the halls close to midnight!
We would stay here again, but we’re aware of possible issues that may arise.
