We were dog tired and appreciated how lovely the room was. Didn’t explore the grounds but upon arriving we were greeted by a gentleman (who worked there) who offered each of our pups a nibble of hot dog which they loved. Room was really clean.

We arrived and checked in but quickly realized we had not been given the correct room. I had booked A Deluxe King Room with a Pool View. We were in a regular room. I tried to call the front desk but was unable to get anyone to answer the phone. When I went back to the front desk they said that they didn't have any other rooms except for one that was even worse in the very back of the hotel. I paid $600 for the same room that others had booked for $300. the hotel offered no resolution or support. Further the property was understaffed and some staff were outright rude. A prime example was Sunday afternoon at the pool it took me asking twice for a towel and 45 minutes to actually get one... pretty lame. Poor management to say the least.

We were a little worried when we first arrived due to lobby and pool being closed. We had to check in to the lobby next hotel over. Not sure why the closure but it didn’t bother us. The room was absolutely perfect, so adorable and more importantly it was very very clean. The hotel next door allowed us to use their pool and lobby. The room was perfect for our 17 year old Yorkie. The best was a platform bed (closer) to the ground which worked perfect. The “Potty area” was perfectly manicured and full of fun sniffs according to Stitch. The rosters every where were fun to watch, Stitch thought they could be friends but not so much. Oh well. Great great place to bring your fur baby. Less expensive than other places around but not sure why the hotel was great for us. Will definitely go back.

Lets start with how dirty the room was, toilet had stains from the last person, Ill try not being to graphic, the floors were dirty, dusty, the air conditioning would not get any cooler than 77 degrees. save your money.

we stayed at this hotel 7/17 - 7/19. upon arrival we had to check in at the hotel next door, which was a little weird. Many of the restaurants were not open and we had to find somewhere for breakfast. we were on the ground floor and we heard our upstairs neighbors.

The gates and 24no are extremely dog friendly! They have a huge grass section in between the 2 hotels I would say is about .5 acres. As long as you keep your fur baby on a lead you will have no complaints from anyone. We were even able to bring our pups on the free shuttle the hotel has to take you down town. Every restaurant and shop down town was welcoming to our pups. Most even had water bowls by the entrance so they could hydrate. All in all we will be booking our future stays in key west at Gates from here on out.

We loved it here. We took our two dogs on vacation and stayed here for 4 days. It was fantastic! They had a goodie box for our boys on arrival. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The rooms were perfect. They are a good size and the tile flooring was not slick at all (which is always a concern with my elderly dog). The rooms were very clean and just beautiful. They have a nice potty area for the pups too. Location is great. My husband loved the pool and bar. We will absolutely be back!

Great place; service, location, amenities all more than expected for the price point. It’s part of “Rooster Row”, 4 hotels along with their shared bars/pools/etc. We did our laundry while enjoying the bar/pool at Hilton Garden. Our dog was welcome in the bar area at the Gates Hotel.

Upon checking in, our pup was given a complimentary BarkBox. Additionally, we were provided a magnet for the door to denote we had a pet (both for cleaning purposes and quiet purposes). Although I didn't see a designated "pet area" for dogs to do their business, the whole resort is very open and relaxed. Would definitely stay again!
