Exceptional find (thank you). A fun hotel with the perfect location. The view was great and a large pool area overlooked the mountains. The best restaurants and breweries are within walking distance: extremely dog-friendly hotel and city. Parking was an added plus but you still pay a reasonable daily fee with in-and-out privileges.
- TaraJul. 4, 2022Great hotel and location!
Great hotel and location! Very dog friendly. Nice rooms.
- JustinMay. 23, 2022Great rooms and location
Accommodation was excellent and unbeatable location. Very pet friendly.
- JoyMay. 13, 2022Wonderful Stay
We had a great stay here with our pup! Everyone was so friendly and terrific location!
- EllenApr. 10, 2022Awesome location in the city
This is a funky place. Clean and modern. Dog friendly bar in the lobby. Close to everything in the city. Walkable. Not a “luxury” place but really nice for a dog friendly hotel.
- SusanFeb. 14, 2022Definitely return!
We brought our 90 pound Black Lab with us to Asheville, and stayed here. Not only were the staff friendly, but so were the patrons! Our 'boy' was showered with attention which he loved. The accommodations were great; amazingly comfy beds and pillows, very clean, and having the bar in house was so great for our group to chill and enjoy ourselves. Great location, walkable area.🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾
- HannahFeb. 13, 2022Very dog friendly
Would go again. Dogs allowed and encouraged in all common areas. Most dog friendly place I’ve ever stayed.
- Kendall JaneFeb. 6, 2022Great location, very dog friendly
He was a happy doggo.
- PatrickNov. 23, 2021Great location and dog friendly
The hotel was in the perfect location being right on Biltmore Ave in the heart of downtown Asheville. There are awesome shops and breweries right in that area, so definitely an ideal location for humans to stay. The hotel was extremely dog friendly. There was a good amount of dogs staying during our time there which was great since we didn't feel uncomfortable with our dog being there. There was a little grassy area right behind the hotel that was easy to access. This was our dog's first stay in a hotel, so the elevator was a little bit stressful for him since there could sometimes be other dogs waiting to get on/off as well as having to physically go on the elevator. But all in all, other guests were super accommodating and allowed us to get on separately instead of in a group. I would definitely stay here due to the location and pet friendly staff/guests.
- AllisonAug. 27, 2021Very dog friendly
As far as dogginess, this hotel is great. Its location is wonderful too. Right in the middle of everything and walking distance to loads of Asheville spots. But you have to walk a block to let your dog relieve himself. It is also quite expensive, charge an additional fee for parking everyday. The rooms are so tiny.
- JessicaJul. 6, 2021Great Location and Super Dog Friendly
The hotel is located in the heart of downtown Asheville and is very welcoming of all dogs (big and small). We loved it!
- JennaMay. 24, 2021Great location
Location was great. Had a grassy area behind the hotel at a church.
- ChrisMay. 14, 2021Great visit
Had a great time. Will be going out of my way to stay at other Alofts in the future
- JensiApr. 4, 2021Great stay!
I thoroughly enjoyed the stay here. Staff were all warm and welcoming to the doggos, and the location was great. Would definitely stay here again!
- BettyFeb. 26, 2021Great place
I loved that my dog could go anywhere but the gym, much more freedom for my dog than other places. I also love that they have a dog for adoption as a mascot.
- PatrickFeb. 12, 2021Aloft Asheville
Wonderful hotel in a great location and so dog friendly. They even had a pup in the lobby looking for a 'forever family'. So cute!! Staff is friendly, rooms were clean and very comfortable.
- MaryFeb. 10, 2021Getaway
Nice trendy happy place that is very much dog friendly; and at no charge. Convenient downtown area. Would love to go back.
- JenniferJan. 7, 2021Great experience!
Accommodating hotel in an amazing location. They provided dog bowls and a super nice dog bed that our pup was excited about after walking around Asheville all day. We didn’t have a problem with finding a place for our dog to use the bathroom, but we do live in an urban area so he is used to going in a city environment. Would absolutely stay here again!
- AlexaJan. 4, 2021Great Experience
We brought our two pups (both above 50lbs) for a 4 day stay here. It was an awesome hotel, clean, friendly and the dogs were a big hit! There were a ton of dogs staying at the hotel, so if your dog is very reactive, it may not be the best choice as lots of people have dogs on elevators, at the bar, on the roof / pool etc. but we had a great time!
- RobinDec. 30, 2020Great location!
This was a great stay. The room was clean, it was super dog friendly and closes to everything.
- AshleyNov. 14, 2020Awesome hotel
Nice staff, Amazing location, convenient parking, and super dog friendly! Will definitely be staying again if we find ourselves back in Asheville.
- WhitneyNov. 2, 2020Great location!
Great location and perfect for a dog!
- CarolOct. 14, 2020comfie spot for a sleepover
we had stayed here once before, and the place is obviously quite popular. clean rooms, all we needed in terms of mini frig and dog amenities....no complaints
- Mary bethOct. 9, 2020Was ok.
They did not acknowledge our dog or give us treats ... just told us to sign paper we have a dog in case of damages. People nice but no exceptional or great experience
- LoriAug. 12, 2020Great staff
If you want to be downtown, this was a great location & front desk staff were very accommodating. As others have commented, the potty spot is a little bit of a walk, but we did not mind it. Personally, I thought it was a little pricey for a basic room (we were there on a Saturday night though, which am sure was higher). I would stay again if we were going to be in town early enough to actually enjoy the area.
- MatthewJul. 12, 2020Guest Review
The hotel is in a great location for exploring downtown Asheville and the South Slope breweries. Rooms are great, and we had no issues with the pups
- MarleenJul. 1, 2020No place to potty
It was not ideal that you had to walk more than a block to go take our small dog for a walk especially since I am handicapped
- WilliamMay. 31, 2020Very nice and pet friendly,
- JeanneDec. 19, 2019Amazingly friendly
We found the Aloft through BringFido. Every interaction with the personnel was friendly and helpful. This property is a clean and friendly place for both humans and their dogs in downtown Asheville. It’s a short walk to so many great restaurants and shops. We will return!
- MattAug. 24, 2019Great dog friendly hotel
We had a blast staying at Aloft Downtown Asheville. Very dog friendly and conveniently located in the middle of downtown.
- HeatherJul. 29, 2019Ritz Carlton For Dogs
Don’t stay anywhere else! We loved every moment here. Provided a dog bed, bowl, a treat and toy with our room. Staff was wonderful to our dog. Gorgeous hotel and dogs are allowed in all areas. We had a great time having drinks outside.
- AnnieJul. 2, 2019Great Location
We had never seen reviews so positive so we picked this hotel when going through Asheville. The location was great and there were luggage racks RIGHT by the door to the attached parking garage. There is no very close green space at present. It was scorching hot and our poor pooch did not enjoy the blazing walk on very hot sidewalks to get to grass.
- JessicaDec. 30, 2018Very Nice
Nice checkin. No dog smell. Treats for our girl upon arrival. Excellent location. Dogs are allowed anywhere in the hotel that you go, we took her down to the bar one light and listened to music. Nice and welcoming atmosphere for a pup
- MatthewJul. 2, 2018Tried to stay here
My wife and I tried to stay at this hotel. About a week before we were scheduled to arrive, Iggy (our dog) started showing signs of stress of being in the car. We worked hard for the entire week to try to calm him down and make him comfortable in the car especially for a several hour ride to get to Asheville. I called the hotel two nights before we were to arrive to see if we could change our arrival day or cancel. The person who we talked on the phone was nice and tried to help us but because we rented a room with a prepaid rate she could not change the arrival date and needed a manager to do so. She sent them an email. We did not receive a call or email from the hotel. The morning we were supposed to arrive, I called the hotel again and talked to a different person. They put me through to a manager. The manager said he could only refund me one night because they have a 48 hour cancelation policy. I told him that we wanted to come on a different day and this came out of the blue with our dog. I also stated that we called 48 hours prior and that we had not heard anything from them.
Needless to say, I am very disappointed with my experience here without staying at the hotel.
- HannahMar. 19, 2018Don't stay anywhere else with a dog
We stayed with a greyhound and a golden doodle for a couple nights and everyone loved it. We could easily walk to probably ten breweries, and when it was crazy on a holiday we drank beer and cocktails on the deck to avoid the crowds. The bar in the lobby had very reasonably priced drinks to compete with everyone around them, and the staff was super helpful in recommending which restaurants and attractions to visit. This place is totally worth the price you would pay over a vacation rental or cheaper hotel that is farther away from the action.
- Catherine RadaMore than a year agoExcellent location, pet friendly, nice staff, great vibe
This hotel is right in the center of the city, and in walking distance to many great restaurants. The hotel is very, very pet friendly. We brought our 2 pups, and we saw many other dogs in the lobby. The dogs stayed for free. Staff was attentive, friendly and always smiling. Hotel was exceptionally clean for being so pet friendly. Parking was only $9/day which is very reasonable for a city hotel. The hotel is modern and there was live music in the evening in the lobby. We were highly impressed and would definitely stay again.
- PhilMore than a year agoHow could it get any better?
The facility is the Ritz Carlton for dogs (and their humans will love it too). Bottom line, if you are traveling to our through Asheville and have a pet...stay here. If you don't have a pet...stay here.
