The property features a 200-foot hill and 22 acres of off-grid, wooded land with stunning views of the mountains, a stream, and traces of gold, silver, and copper. Trails around Balsam Hill offer access for ATVs and snowmobiles. The cabins are situated along an old Stagecoach Road that is 220 years old. Improvements have been made to the Old County Road leading to the cabins.
Located approximately 2 miles from Route 1 and Route 1A in Milbridge, the site provides a unique experience with an A-Frame cabin measuring 10 by 10 feet. This cabin is private and includes a fire pit, benches, a picnic table, and a hammock. It is positioned 75 feet from Old County Road. A cell phone booster is available at the campground, ensuring reliable service, although there is no Wi-Fi or power at the off-grid cabins. A shower is provided at the cabins.
The property’s paths are primitive and may not be suitable for individuals with difficulty walking on uneven ground. Solar lights, candles, a propane stove with propane, all-natural bug spray, a battery bank charger, and bottled water are provided for guests.
