You can’t miss the Cape Canaveral Kennedy Space Center rocket launches from any part of the front of the house, but try looking due south.
Both bedrooms feature new beds and bedding, and each has a desk. On the west side of the building and three floors up, the bedroom windows offer a great view of the river and the park.
With new front-loading washer and dryer and an updated bathroom, the unit is perfectly equipped with household and kitchen appliances, especially for coffee lovers. A fun closet in the entryway offers beach chairs, fishing gear, a cooler, binoculars, and more.
The unit sits directly on Mary Bethune Beach Park, with beach access in front, picnic areas to one side, and pickleball, fishing, kayak launch, volleyball, and a playground across the street. See manatees and dolphins up close. One mile down the road is the Canaveral National Seashore and its unspoiled beaches and wildlife. The apartment is less than one mile from the famous restaurant and music venue J.B.’s Fish Camp.
While we provide an initial supply of toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, and trash bags to get you through the first 24 hours, we recommend you bring the following: toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, napkins, dishwashing liquid, laundry soap, coffee and coffee filters, beach items, and anything else you may need for the perfect vacation.

The History of Turtle Mound
Turtle Mound is an ancient archaeological site managed by the National Park Service as part of the Canaveral National Seashore. The turtle shaped mound, comprised of oysters and refuse from the prehistoric Timucuan people, measures 50 feet high and 600 feet long and is the largest shell midden in the mainland United States. Added to the US National Register of Historic Places in 1970, the mound can be seen from as far as seven miles out at sea, and was used as a landmark by early Spanish explorers and succeeding sailors. Archeologists have dated Turtle Mound to around 1000 BCE.
