Very run down, old, smelly hotel. The bar inside is a building site. The service was the worst I have ever had, and we were not even able to check in because no one returned our call. We booked at 5pm and at 5:25pm we attempted to call them, got diverted to a number in Brisbane. Left a message. We did 2 more attempts as we arrived a couple of hours later, and the reception was closed. We called a landline and mobile number as displayed, but still did not get an answer.
So we left to go back home and finally received a call. When I explained the situation and asked for a refund they refused. I was aware at the time of booking that the rate was not refundable, and it would have been okay, but not getting back to us with check-in instructions was not acceptable. Out of curiosity I called the Brisbane number that we were diverted to the next day after hours to see if it was in fact the hotel after hours number, and the lady on the other end said, yes.
So, we had a quick chat, but being a staff member only she could not further help. On top of this, the manager is now telling me that the number I called in the first place was a wrong number, even though I have the evidence on my phone. Unbelievable. I can only suggest, find anything else if you need accommodation. They do not care about their customers.

We were three nights at $250 per night, but no cleaning or change of linen provided. Had to ask for clean towels!
