  Great place to stay

  We travel with our 12 yr old Australian Shepherd (considered a "big dog") and The Kansas Country Inn was a great choice to stay. Very welcoming, nice room, fantastic hot, homemade breakfast. Do watch out for sand burs in the paws. The interior design provides a warm and homey atmosphere. Room rate is low and the pet fee was low as well. We will make this our regular stop coming home from the annual family visit in IA. Definitely recommend - with or without pets. (The Lodge in Russell KS is owned by the same group and every bit as nice!)

  Great stopover

  Staff was very friendly and helpful. Property is dated but my room was exceptionally clean. Breakfast was a good mix of egg casserole, waffles, cinnamon roles, biscuits and gravy, cereal, fruit, coffee, juice etc. Definitely one of the better breakfast offerings from hotels I have stayed at. Large, open grass area for pets. Nice looking pool. Not much choice for restaurants in the area but Buffalo Bills Sports Bar and Grill had good food and even friendlier staff. Overall, a pretty good deal. Will stay here again when I am back in the area.

  Perfect road trip stop

  We stayed overnight on a cross country road trip. The motel is dated looking from the outside, but we had a nice room with a four poster bed and comfortable mattress. The property has a large grass area in front with plenty of room for a dog to run. The room included breakfast with homemade egg casserole and cinnamon rolls. The staff was very friendly and even let our dog (a competitive dock diver) jump in the pool to stretch her legs.

  Quick registration, clean rooms, free breakfast and lots of space behind the hotel to walk our pups. Would stay again.

  Clean basic hotel with great breakfast

  We enjoyed our stay at the Kansas Country Inn. Our room was clean with good beds. The breakfast was very good, staff was friendly, and it worked out well for our dog too.

  Great place to stop for the night!

  Very friendly owners/staff. Clean, comfortable large room with parking outside the door. Homemade coffee cake, homemade apple crisp and homemade waffle batter at the Breakfast bar. Large grass area for dogs to do their thing. (The area/region smells like cows, but that has nothing to do with the hotel. You will get that same smell for miles.) Good place to stop, quite comfortable for the night, for a good price.

  Decent hotel

  Kansas Country Inn is an older, nothing fancy, but clean hotel. Good price. Friendly staff. Breakfast was decent. Lots of parking and grassy area for dogs. I like the outside entry rooms. Only downside was the strong odor from the pig farms while outside.

  Clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff, grassy spot to walk dogs, comfortable beds. I will be stopping here again.

  Was quiet

  Really enjoyed our stay here, our pup(Lab mix) did great, all slept well and there was a large pet area outside. Would definitely stay here again.

  Disgusting Room!

  As soon as I walked in the room I wished I could have gotten my money back and gone somewhere else. It was terrible. It smelled like old cigarettes and body odor. There were flies everywhere. The beds were dated and you could feel the springs in them. NOT WORTH $90! As filthy as the rooms are it’s insulting that they still require a pet fee. Will not be returning to that hotel.

  Very Friendly and Helpful

  This spot is an old motor lodge that has been updated. The room was clean. Breakfast was better than most hotel breakfasts - homemade breakfast casserole and homemade coffee cake. The staff was very helpful with area suggestions. There was plenty of green space to walk to large dogs. Lots of dogs with guests were spotted and everything worked out well.

  Newly updated comfortable rooms. Easy access to your car from the room. Close to the highway. A good place to stay in the area.

  Review

  Room did not smell fresh. Asked for a first floor room and was told none were available, but after returning from dinner, it was obvious that several first floor rooms were available. Breakfast was good!

  convenient location

  always accommodating for us and our dogs. Nothing fancy but clean and convenient and breakfast in the morning to send us on our way.
