The staff was great. The owners are trying but it is still a bit short. I think after a few more upgrades it would be more pleasing. Just mowing the grass area and weeding the lot would add some value. There are lots of pots so it looks like someone has an interest in gardening. I think next step could be the flooring. Pleasantly surprised at the bathrooms. I think maybe that’s where they started updating. Good luck to them.

The room was very nice for the money. Early in the morning the power went out, but there was hot water and enough light from outside to take a quick shower and get out.

I had made a reservation with this motel a week before my trip. After booking, the Sharon Motel even made sure to confirm the reservation and my two dogs I had on it directly a few days prior. After a 13 hour drive, when I arrived at the Sharon Motel it was another story. The woman at the desk asked me for my name and when I gave it she said she had a reservation but no notes about the pets and told me to leave. Not asked, but very impolitely told me to leave. I let her know not only did I book this through a pet friendly website (this one!) but that they had called and confirmed the reservation as well. She still told me no, and asked me again to leave. This is a very small town with little options and I have no idea where to go. I asked her to please check again because I could provide my email confirmation as proof. After scrolling a minute she told me that she suddenly found the note about the dogs but it's too bad because they had no other pet friendly rooms so they could not accommodate me. She pointed me in the direction of the one other pet friendly motel down the street and told me it was my fault that I booked through this site and it didn't display that I had dogs in her system. It felt humiliating and after a long drive, pretty awful. I don't have any experience beyond this interaction to base the rating off of so it may be great beyond the customer service I encountered. Since there are very, very limited options in the area -- as a customer I would recommend calling them directly to book.
