  Now charging for pets

  $75 pet fee added now!! I really hope they change their mind about that, Pets Stay Free is what kept us coming back every month on our drive. The rooms themselves aren't great, service is "OK", it is can get loud in the hallways with partying and weed smell everywhere. We kept going back each month because we are only there from 11:30pm-6:30am the following morning. I cannot justify paying an extra $75 now for the dogs just so we can stop and rest for a few hours. Lost another customer.

  Nice, modern hotel

  Stayed at the Aloft Buffalo Airport two nights. My dog and I had a room in the 5th floor. Hotel design is modern and beginning to show wear. Not traditional room layout but still nice and was clean. Bed was king size and very soft and the pillows were very fluffy not firm. Noise from airport across the road was not an issue, could hear people in hallway louder than planes takeoff and landing. There is lots of space to walk dog behind hotel which has a huge long-term parking area and runs behind some of the other hotels.

  The lobby is small and has a bar and lounge area right there with music playing 24/7; there is also some patio space. The vibe is going for modern and young which I am not. Still it is a nice place to stay. I found it easier to go in and out the patio door with my dog than navigate where people were sitting and playing pool. Would stay here again. Hotel is behind the Hilton Garden Inn and a Quality Inn Motel and McDonalds. No sign on the main road to give direction to it.

  Mixed feelings about Aloft. Good points - easy to get to, edge of property clean and grass to walk dog. Not so great aspects for single senior traveler with dog; wrinkled sheets suspect not fresh, shower stall needed a scrub, lobby more like a hang out for young adults, bar area noisy at night past midnight, lobby like game room with pool table being used after 9pm and again at 9am. For me, anticipating simple modern atmosphere ended up being a confusing situation for hotel stay, but for a young person might be best option. Staff ok but young and seems like they need to go to hospitality school.

  All was well

  This hotel has a young vibe - billiards and a bar in the lobby with couches around game tables. Nice workout room and pool. My dog was welcomed and comfortable. I was close to the lobby and it was a little loud on the evening, but quieted down by 11. The room was large and modern and comfortable. Location was 5 minutes from the airport. It met all my needs.

  Happy dog and family

  Excellent experience, I was so happy to walk in from the ground floor to our room. As we walked in there were other customers coming in and out with their dogs from the adjoining rooms. I knew we were in the right place!! The room was clean and modern. We only stayed one night but we’ll be booking this hotel again in the future.

  Great for the price

  This Aloft is right at the Airport, but less than a 20 minute drive from downtown Buffalo, so visitors from out of town can get their wings pilgrimage in to Gabriel’s Gate or one of the other classic wings joints like the Anchor quite easily. It is an Aloft, so if you’ve stayed at one you know what you will get. The room will be sleek and modern in style and cleverly designed to get the maximum of usage capability out of every square inch.

  The careful plan yields an excellent and highly workable bathroom/closet area, very functional desk/work area, and enough bedroom floor space to not feel cramped. The beds use all washable coverings and are comfortable. The lobby has cocktail and food zones plus an entertainment area with pool tables, and I think there was an indoor pool. There are plenty of grass areas outside for your dog to relieve themselves easily, with waste bags and a repository to clean up the results.
  The staff were nice, and laid back.

  The only off putting bits about our stay was the clientele were a little crass. Our room had clearly been recently occupied by a smoker who stank up the room even though the hotel is non-smoking. They’d done their best shy of a total steam clean, masking the smell with whatever heavy duty products they deploy, but it was still a little unpleasant and really needed a shampoo/steaming.

  And then a peewee boys’ hockey team had clearly booked the hotel for the night. A bunch of rowdy tiny guys with mullets were rampaging all over the lobby and the halls while their families hit the lobby bar for stress management. It was a little bit hilarious and also a little bit annoying/exhausting. Oh well, we managed to sleep and it is not like having someone be a jerk and smoke in their room, or having a bunch of hypered up mini ice jockeys come in for a stay was the Aloft’s fault. I still think this hotel is a decent balance of comfort for value, and it is certainly very suitable for a decent place to stay while traveling with a dog.

  Comfortable but not much outside for dogs

  I have stayed here numerous times during the winter months. There isn't much space to walk your dog outside other than a parking lot full of snow. (It is Buffalo after all). A McDonald's shares the same parking lot. Rooms have modern furniture and they are comfortable.

  Noisy First Floor

  Great hotel room. But some things were lacking. No microwave, the doors on the first floor vibrate the walls. Guests only seem to care about themselves, obnoxious honking at 7AM coming from the windows facing the parking lot. I would not choose to come here again. Dog was stressed out from all the noises. Car honking, hallway doors smacking every few minutes. Not a good sleep for the dog.

  Everyone we encountered was cheerful, fast and helpful. We really felt as though they were happy we were there. A problem with our keycard stopped me from giving a 5 bone rating.

  Disappointing

  On check in provided with a list of dos and don’ts but the pet package mentioned was not offered. A nice staff guy- not front desk- did offer biscuits. The poop bags in the stand out front were completely gone.

  Perfect Dog Friendly Hotel

  Talk about a dog friendly hotel--this is it! The Staff was amazing and helpful. Dog treats at the front desk! The room was dog friendly and very comfortable. We all slept like dogs! We'd route ourselves to Buffalo just to stay here!

  Nice hotel

  Spent a night with the family and two labs. Simple, accommodating hotel. Outside there are grass areas to walk the dogs along with a brushy area behind the airport parking lot. It looked like there’s was some sort of walking trail that may be accessible behind and east of the hotel but we did not try to get there. A poop bag dispenser was by the parking lot but was empty.

  Disappointed this time…

  As you will see in my prior reviews of this property, I have always had good experiences here. However not this time. The front desk staff was mediocre at best and my room was old, dingy and smelly. The refrigerator in the room did not work at all. This is the first time I have experienced this at this property. I can only hope that the hotel takes these reviews seriously and refreshes the room experience to what it previously was. Thx for allowing me to share feedback.
