Despite its location it is quiet and large, with plenty of space for good size rooms and a leisure club with an indoor swimming pool. The decor is of a high standard and incorporates the hotel's period features. The courtyard outside the hotel is particularly pleasant with a central fountain and benches. The hotel also accommodates an executive lounge with business centre services. The Colonial Malaysian Georgetown Restaurant is a particular attraction of the hotel, serving varied exquisite cuisines in a colonial setting with live piano music most evenings. Bedrooms are fully equipped with luxurious bedding, air conditioning and Wifi internet access. The hotel is now smoke Free except for 19 dedicated smoking bedrooms, and 33 sets of bedrooms are interconnecting, so great for families. Guest rooms feature mini-bar, hair dryer, iron, satellite TV. The leisure club downstairs includes a small gym with Cardiovascular equipment and Free weights.
