Built in 1700 and situated in northern Campeche the Hacienda Uayamon is near the Mayan site Edzna approximately 13 miles from Alberto Acuna Ongay Airport. The Hacienda was built in 1700 and is a perfect example of colonial architecture with high ceilings and elegant decor. Hotel amenities include a restaurant lounge room service pool spa terrace and concierge. Each of its 12 freestanding casitas features a terrace and private garden.

Definitely not meant for pets, but glad we could find a place same-day that accepted them. Lots of rules about not leaving them alone in the room, and offering pet sitting services. Wasn’t necessary for the overnight and going to the on-site restaurant. Be advised that you should approach from Campeche, and not from the toll road along the coast. It is a long one lane rough road. The rooms are separate buildings in the hacienda & are a long walk from the parking lot. Bring a flashlight. Also, watch your step when it is wet as the stairs leading into them are moss covered and very slippery. Not every window had mosquito netting, so plan to keep the shutters closed. Shame because the jungle is so beautiful. It was an expensive overnight with pets, but again, glad to find a same day option. Staff were friendly. No cell service. Wi-fi worked most of the time.
