Sol Mate on Hatteras Island

Sol Mate on Hatteras Island features 6 bedrooms with four King Beds, 5.5 baths, beautiful, fully stocked kitchen, theater for your entertainment, elevator for your ease, and lots of space to spread out. Sol Mate is perfectly located for ocean and sound views, just a four minute walk to the beach and a 1 minute drive for 4WD access to the beach at Ramp 38. Bath towel sets and linens are INCLUDED for your stay. Sol Mate no longer permits stays of less than 7 nights. Linens are left in sanitary packaging. Order form can be provided should bed making be preferred.

FEATURES: Our three-level home has some great amenities to make your vacation perfect. Our home features a PRIVATE POOL, 7-person HOT TUB, THEATER ROOM, POOL TABLE, PANDORA BOX MULTICADE ARCADE GAME with over 1300 games and an ELEVATOR. You can start and end each day with captivating SUNRISE & SUNSET VIEWS from our expansive decks on all 3 levels.

LOCATION: Sol Mate is less than 500 walking steps to the beach. The home is less than a two-minute drive to the Food Lion grocery store and shopping plaza. The Food Lion plaza also consists of some restaurants (Chinese, pizza and Mexican), Dirty Dick's Crabhouse, Duck Donuts, a Dollar Tree, Beach Pharmacy, Island Bakery, and Super Wings. All just two minutes away from Sol Mate. Sol Mate is also less than half mile to the Haulover Area for relaxation and beautiful sunsets on the Pamlico Sound.

4WD Beach Access: Sol Mate is less than a one-minute drive to Ramp 38. You can drive right up and park on the beach. 4WD access allows easy unloading and great surf fishing, some of the best on the Eastern seaboard. It is important to note that 4WD is NOT needed to get around Hatteras Island. If you wish to walk, that is fine too! There is an easy access walkway right near Ramp 38, again less than 500 steps from the home. OF NOTE: 4WD beach access does require a permit though the US Park Service and is restricted to certain areas. Remember to check local conditions and air down your tires below 20 so you don’t get stuck in the sand. You can air back up for free at the BP gas station.

Avon is perfectly situated between the northern island (Nags Head, Kill Devil Hills, Kitty Hawk, Duck) and south to Buxton, Frisco, and Hatteras Village. You can catch the FERRY at Hatteras Village to explore OKRACOKE Island, board a charter boat for some fantastic half or full day fishing excursions, and so much more! Do not forget all those popular and historic lighthouses. Sol Mate’s location really is perfect to enjoy Island Life!

HOME LAYOUT:

THIRD/TOP FLOOR: Features terrific and amazing VIEWS of the ocean and Pamlico sound, perfect for sunrises and sunsets. You'll find a spacious GREAT ROOM with 75 Inch TV, DVD/Blu Ray player, and specific streaming services provided for your convenience. This level has a BREAKFAST BAR with seating for 3, and 2 large dining tables for a seating capacity of 17. The kitchen is well stocked with all your culinary needs to make cooking a breeze. The kitchen also boasts plenty of counter space. The third floor also features a GRAND MASTER KING bedroom - beautifully decorated, impressive architecture, vaulted ceilings and large arched windows. The grand master also accesses the expansive third floor deck. The Grand Master also has a has a nice-sized private bath that has a large vanity with double sinks.

MID LEVEL: Offers 2 beautifully appointed KING MASTER bedrooms with private baths and of course second floor deck access. The MID-LEVEL also includes a third bedroom with 2 PYRAMID beds (twins over fulls), and fourth bedroom with 2 TWINS and a private bathroom. All four bedrooms have direct DECK access.

FIRST FLOOR: First floor features a GAME ROOM with 8' pool table, 43" TV and WET BAR/KITCHENETTE with full size refrigerator. This level also has a Pandora Box Multicade Arcade Game with 1300 games. The level also has 1 KING bedroom with 1st level deck access and a full bathroom. This level also has a laundry area with full size washer and dryer. Finally, and a HUGE feature of this level, is the THEATER ROOM with Roku, DVD/Blu Ray Player, streaming services to include You Tube Live TV, Spectrum, Netflix, Hulu, Disney Plus, and the NFL and an expanding 100 + DVD library with surround sound and recliner seating.

In total, Sol Mate has 8 Roku TV's that include complimentary Live TV with Spectrum, YouTube Live, Netflix, Hulu and Disney Plus! The home has high speed internet with Free WiFi access.

OUTSIDE: We invite our guests to enjoy our 12' x 24' PRIVATE POOL. The pool is available for use from mid-April through late October and has beautiful lighting around the deck. You can also relax and sip a drink in our 7 PERSON HOT TUB. Right next to the pool deck, we have an outdoor shower for your convenience. For your outdoor cooking needs, we have BOTH a Weber gas grill and a park-style charcoal grill waiting for your fresh catch of the day, burgers and dogs, steak, or chicken.

HANDICAP FRIENDLY: Sol Mate is handicap accessible. The home features outdoor ramps that lead to the first level. From there, the home features an ELEVATOR that provides easy access to all 3 levels of the home. This is especially welcoming when arriving with luggage and groceries. For our disabled or elderly guests, it is important to note that the entire house, from driveway to the top level can be accessed STAIR-FREE, including access to the pool deck.

Security: This home does have security video cameras pointed at the driveways to monitor who enters the property. These security cameras are only pointed at the driveway. There are no other cameras.

A FEW SOL MATE ON HATTERAS ISLAND HOUSE POLICIES:

MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY is 16 persons

Sol Mate is a Saturday to Saturday rental. We no longer allow less than 7 day stays.

The pool is open and available for use from mid/late April to late October, weather-dependent. The 7 person hot tub is open year-round.

Bath towel sets and linens are INCLUDED. Linens are left in sanitary packaging. An Order form can be provided should bed making be preferred.

Sol Mate caters to families and friends. We do not permit spring break, teen parties, or young adult groups.

Guest must be at least 25 years old to reserve our home. Those reserving must read and agree to the entirety of the rental contract prior to making the first payment AND be present during the entire stay. Completing the initial payment signifies that you have completely read the rental agreement as well as have a full understanding of and are in full agreement to the rental contract.

Due to the vulnerable nature of the Outer Banks weather and/or other unforeseen circumstances, we do RECOMMEND purchasing FULL TRIP CANCELLATION INSURANCE. Not all policies cover everything, so do your research. Be sure you select a policy that covers any and all days of your stay including mandatory evacuations that may happen just prior to and during your stay. The default CSA policies offered through this website only cover if you cancel PRIOR to date of arrival. We truly feel terrible when guests' stays are interrupted or have to be cancelled especially due to hurricane/storm related events. Choose a policy that fits your needs.
