  Great stays

  We (70lbs std poodle) have stayed twice at La Posada. More recently, in the winter, we accepted a room that (a) faced the train tracks, and (b) open to the back courtyard areas that abut the tracks. Besides the sounds of (a), which came as advertised, we had another fantastic stay in a room that was very quiet but for (a). The restaurant remains delicious and the drinks fun - they welcomed us to sit in just outside the restaurant which is still indoors, near a musician who regularly plays really wonder acoustic guitar.

  Beautifully renovated hotel

  This was a lovely hotel, even though Winslow is not a great destination. The hotel was originally designed by a female architect, and recently restored by an artist & her husband. It’s a beautiful destination.

  Interesting spot

  Stayed just one night. A bright spot after a long day on the road. Nothing special for the pup except a small treat upon arrival by the front desk and a nice back lawn. Close proximity to several nice walking paths. Lots of interesting art and historical perspectives.

  Great stay

  We enjoyed our overnight stay at this nice historical hotel. The staff is super dog and people friendly. The rooms are very nice. We hope to stay here again and spend time visiting Winslow.

  Great stay

  This is a beautiful historic facility that was renovated by an artist. Very dog friendly: Dogs are not allowed in the formal dining room, but they provide complete table service at tables in a huge, comfortable “lobby” area. So our dog was with us every minute of our stay. The grounds are surrounded by beautiful pollinator habitat, quiet courtyards, and large grassy areas for dogs to stretch their legs and relieve themselves. We will return for more.

  Old historic hotel. Beautiful place that is very dog friendly. Great restaurant on site. Very interesting history to explore while there! A must stay.

  Pup loved this hotel

  Surprisingly wonderful! When you pull off the interstate you’ll find this desert oasis. Friendly staff welcome you and your pet. There is a large area to walk your pup or just relax together. We stayed twice, going and coming home from our travels and are planning to make it our destination next time. Lovely gift shop, top notch dining and comfortable accommodations too!

  Very nice place

  Great staff, awesome hotel on HUGE grounds. Lots to do and see at the hotel, including a museum, art gallery upstairs, croquet grounds, and HUGE place for dogs to go. They have a high end restaurant. Only drawback is I was on the 2nd floor and no elevator! Though staff was willing to help carry things for me. I had a lot of baggage as I make videos while traveling and being on the road for 3 weeks, it was a lot. However, I would stay there again not withstanding the no elevator.

  An awesome dog-friendly hotel

  if you are in Winslow this is the place. A very nice hotel with a great restaurant that lets you eat with your dog indoors. One of the very best dog friendly hotels I have ever been.

  Such a cool place

  It was great, clean and super friendly staff. The hotel in and of its self is so cool just to walk around and look at it. Great green space for Jasper. Hope to stay there again sometime.

  Surprise museum

  This hotel is extremely dog friendly. They even have dining options, so you can enjoy a meal with your pet at your side. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating and the rooms are quaint and comfortable. I was blown away by the owner’s artwork. Her paintings are world class and viewing them in the hotel setting was a special treat. The history of the hotel is also very interesting. All in all, a true gem in a special setting ❤️

  Fantastic stop on road trip

  With the small exception of the actual restaurant, the entire hotel is dog friendly and they’ll even let you take out and eat in the lobby with your dog. Thanks for a wonderful stop.

  Great stay

  He was greeted well upon arrival with a treat. He was treated well by the guests. Dinner in the lobby was nice. Again treated well and again given a treat. He made friends with the guest. We did get locked out of the hotel during our late night potty. We got stuck outside for about 40 minutes because we had to walk all around the outside of the property to get to the front entrance. But that was just part of the adventure.

  Wonderfully peaceful retreat

  The staff are so friendly and helpful, the rooms and the hotel are beautiful. They gave our dog a treat on arrival. So many well behaved and friendly dogs come here.

  Nice historic spot

  This is a good, dog friendly spot. Lovely historic hotel with a train depot. Lots of lawn to walk the dog. Also, there are several lovely gardens to enjoy. Winslow is also dog friendly so you can take your pet out with you (at least to eat outside).

  Beautiful hotel

  I have been at La Posada before but what a delight it was for me to have my dog with me this time as I took time to enjoy the fabulous art and furnishings. Very dog friendly hotel.

  Interesting and historical

  None of the reviews mention the hotel is a huge art gallery. Very interesting out in the middle of a old town. Not really a kid hotel even though I had my kids with me and they were fine.

  Great hotel for dogs

  I love this historical hotel. Lots of grass area for your dog. Our room had a patio & we could walk right out to the dog area (room isn't right on dog area). So don't worry about any smell. Room was spacious, very clean and big enough for our large dog crate. No complaints to this hotel.

  another wonderful stay at La Posada. The hotel is beautiful and the restaurant is just delicious. Dogs have plenty of room to roam and humans are cared for with care. Can’t wait to come again!.

  Great Place, Nostalgic, and Huge Garden Area for Dog

  Great option as noted by all other reviews. They are incredibly dog friendly and have a wonderful yard space for dogs. Only downside is strict policy on leaving dogs unattended which was okay for me, and of course the dining options with your pup. None of those were big deals for me.

  Great hotel, definitely request ground floor if you have pets and lots of luggage!!! Would love if the restaurant in hotel offered outdoor dog friendly tables!! The hotel has wonderful chairs and couches everywhere for your pleasure! We will be back our little girl ( a Labrador) loves it and all the staff and guests were wonderful with her

  Quick one night trip to get out of Scottsdale and check out Winslow, AZ and painted desert. La Posada was a fun hotel to stay in with our 2 boys and 2 pit bulls. It has a huge yard for the dogs to run around and the lobby was pet friendly. We ordered take out from their excellent restaurant the Turquoise room and had dinner and drinks at a nice table in the lobby. Our kids enjoyed watching the trains, going to the onsite museum and art gallery and playing chess in the lobby. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. A lot of dogs at the hotel and they gave them treats on arrival.

  Epic Road trip

  Stayed here with wife and our German Shepherd, Nikita. Had a wonderful room and amazing space for dog to roam and sniff. Loved the "times gone by" atmosphere. All of the staff was wonderful and very loving to Nikita. She was given cookies often along with many belly rubs. Loved being by the railway watching trains come and go. Could not have picked a better place! Only improvement I can think of is having an outdoor dining patio where we could be served. Currently you must go by and order food and take it yourself to room or other outdoor table (winds and temperature deterred us from being outside at a table). This just became part of the adventure and will definitely come back!
