We stayed at the Argonaut during a busy time of the year and have to say the location was just all around excellent for our Akita & us. Park, beach and fisherman’s wharf pier just steps away from the hotel. The hotel staff (reception, valet, bell captain, restaurant, and others) were very courteous and extremely accommodating to our Akita and us. Certainly worthy of a 5+ bones. Rooms were very elegant, well appointed and clean.

The valet and front desk staff were fantastic. Dog bowls were available if we wanted them. The restaurant in the hotel allows pets and has a menu to order them their own dinner.

The staff were wonderful and cared for our pets almost as much as we do. There is a box of treats just inside the door, a large grassy area to walk the dogs just across the street, and the accommodations were very pet friendly. Couple that with a great location that is also very pet friendly and you can't go wrong!

I read the other reviews and decided to give the place a try. We were not disappointed! Everyone was super excited to meet our pup and give him treats. They will provide a dog bed and bowl for your dog. It is a great location with a big grass area just across the street. I would stay here again!

Took my newly adopted rescue dog for a ten day stay at the Argonaut Hotel in San Francisco. From the moment we arrived, we were treated as valued customers. All the door staff and valet knew my dog’s name. They put his name on the dog guest chalkboard next to the great jar which contained real chicken meat treats. My dog at the treat jar every time he went out. The hotel is right next to a park with lots of grass which was very convenient. We had a wonderful stay. I would definitely stay here again!

Everything here was great. Everyone was very friendly and the room was nice. They have healthy dehydrated treats at the entrance where they write your dog’s name on a board as an added welcome. One of the men at the front remembered our dogs name despite only having been there a couple of days. Would recommend for anyone visiting SF with dogs.

I CANT BELIEVE I FOUND THIS PLACE. It was such a perfect spot! Rooms are massive, beds and pillows are sooo comfortable, and the staff was very helpful!
I booked this through Hotels Tonight and got a steal of a deal. My dog and I felt very comfortable and we had a view of the Golden Gate bridge and Ghirardelli's from our room. Alcatraz is also in view of you have a bay facing room.
Right in Fisherman's Wharf and by the Powell/Hyde Cable Car line. You can get anywhere from this location.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND. YOU WONT REGRET IT.

We stayed for 5 nights over Thanksgiving and had a great experience. From the doorman, to the front desk, from housekeeping to the restaurant staff everyone was friendly and helpful. A dog "station" with treats and disposal bags by the entrance made everything so much nicer. Literally steps away from Hyde park. We would recommend the Argonaut to anyone traveling with their pet.
