From start they asked all the right questions to insure dog happiness. With two 60-pound white swiss shepherds we needed to plan it out. Lots of suggestions on pet-friendly places and restaurants. Great location on beach, friendly staff.

Loved the view from our room and being across from the beach. The room was tight but all the space we needed for us and our dog. Plenty of tables to sit in the courtyard and tons of grass area for the furry friends. Great walking distance to a lot of things.

Had a great stay and no issues at all with having our dog along. Lots of property and grass and great outdoor places to sit and hang out and bring our labradoodle with us. Lots of dog friendly restaurants in the area, but was also easy to order delivery to the hotel and eat in their patio area that looked out at the beach.

We had a large room on the second floor. It was located right next to a park in the middle of the hotel complex which made it very convenient for the dogs.

Just checked out today with our family (room with 2 queen beds). Pros: great location across the street from the beach, outside fire pits lit in the evening. CONS: for the price we expected better amenities and service. It started when we checked in - front desk clerk seemed tired/wasn't friendly at all. Valet service only for $30 a day or you can park in neighborhood (which we did) as their valet had walked away/could not be found at check in and street parking behind hotel easy. The room we had (Room 108) was very dark, bathroom small with very limited counter/storage space. Noise carries from upper rooms to lower rooms, so I suggest you book an upper unit if possible. We have stayed at several inns within the area for several years, but this was our first time at this inn. We are used to being provided complimentary wine/cheese in the evening and continental breakfast. Perhaps this is a result of the pandemic and cost-cutting, but this in did not provide either (with higher costs than we are used to paying, I might add). In the future, we will be staying at our tried and true inns just half a block away with better customer service/amenities for the price.

Everyone that worked at this hotel was extremely nice to our dog. They offered him treats or pats! Besides being a really cute and well maintained hotel, it is right across the street from the beach! Our dog loved playing and walking on the beach while we were there. It is only about 5 minutes to downtown Santa Barbara. We will stay here again!

The Milo was a nice place to stay with our dog. It is very close (walking distance) to State Street and the “funk zone”. Our dog was certainly welcome, but there were no extras in the room for her, e.g. dog bowl, treats, bed cover.

The Hotel Milo has been a favorite getaway for my family (including my lab). The rooms are comfortable, the Ambassador Park is the perfect spot to run off some zoomies and handle nature calls, and the staff is warm and inviting to the four-legged guests.

Room was very small. View was nice. Checking in was good but we had to lug our our baggage down the stairs and find our car because both the hotel and car staff didn’t answer the phones. Also no breakfast is served at all so their ad is misleading. Pretty expensive for what we got and didn’t get.

The bathroom was very nice. The room had a nice ocean view but could have been nicer inside considering the expensive price. Air/heat unit very loud. The help (Skye & Sutton) were fantastic, changed us to a new room when I asked. The fire pit areas, patio and grounds were beautiful. They were very nice to our husky.

We loved the location and amenities. Our dog was happy to go the beach & use the adjacent park for fetch. Chad’s restaurant is dog friendly & we used the hotel garden areas for hanging out with our doggo.

•The beach is steps away.
•Many hotel guest bring their dog to this resort. Lots of new friends!
•Room didn’t have any carpet, Easy clean up!

•Dogs are allowed at the beach/pier as long as they’re on a leash.
•we brought our dogs’ bed, water bowl, food, treats etc from home, so they would be more comfortable.It was their first time at a hotel & Our dogs loved their vacation! I would recommend checking it out! :)

Great location and outstanding staff. Our pups really enjoyed the park within the hotel. Also don’t miss Chads restaurant. Fabulous food and pet friendly!

We loved Hotel Milo. Our stay was in a family room on the second floor in a nice clean room. We walked down the stairs to a lush seating area with a fire fit and a park!

Great location, near wharf and marina. Short walk to downtown. Amenities are impacted by CV19 (no pool, no housekeeping, etc). Check first if there’s something you’re not willing to go without or ask for at the desk if you need it (more towels, TP, soaps, etc). Not a problem for a 1-2 night stay, but if you’re staying longer, they should plan for your needs better. Otherwise, I’d give 5 stars since the pups were happy. Great dog beach 9 min away, with a self service dog wash in the parking lot.

Hotel Milo is a wonderful dog-friendly hotel right across the Santa Barbara Harbor. The staff is friendly and helpful. There are plenty of things to see and do within walking distance.

Hotel Milo is located across the street from the beach between the pier and the harbor. My room was ground level and next to a grassy park, which was perfect for my dog, The staff did not do anything special for my pup but that was okay. She was allowed everywhere but in the food serving areas. Beware of the $25 resort fee in addition to the pet fee.

Hotel Milo was a wonderful place to stay. Staff was helpful and friendly, location was excellent, and our chihuahua was warmly welcomed! Can’t wait to go back.

The hotel is walking distance to the Wharf, State Street and the Funk Zone, basically walking distance to all the shopping, dining, wine tasting you could want. Directly across the street from West Beach, short walk from East Beach, great location, nice views of the water and beach. The hotel is cute, in Spanish style buildings. There’s a nice lawn area outside of the office where there’s always dogs playing. They have firepits and a lot of outside seating so you can lounge around the grounds vs being in your room if you’re just relaxing for a bit. Dogs are allowed in the lobby (where there’s nightly wine tasting), the lawns, the patios, the rooms, the pool (but not in it, of course), basically everywhere. They have a board with all the dog-guest names, treats out in the lobby at all times and even sell treats if you forgot to pack some for your pooch. The staff was super friendly, always going to get treats for our doggo while we were sipping wine outside or waiting for our car from the valet. Great location, ideal for not having to drive around everywhere - and perfect if you need to walk your dog and get dinner, with State Street so close.
