We were informed upon arrival at the Azure that we must stay with our two dogs at all times. They are not allowed to stay in room alone even if in their pens. Their solution was to hire a pet sitter if we want to do anything. The sitter charges $20 an hour. We drove 4 hours to get there and had dinner reservations the next night for our anniversary. We left the next morning! Our plans cancelled and after paying for 3 nights which was not refundable. We should have been told upfront that our fur babies had to be with us 24/7. We would not have gone to the Azure!!!

Hotel Azure had everything we needed! The front desk staff was so friendly and quick to bring extra towels when we requested it. The hot tub was so nice at the end of the day. The hotel is centrally located by many shops and restaurants and just a quick walk across the street and you’ll be surrounded by beautiful views of the lake. We enjoyed our stay and will book in the future again!

Hotel Azure was great! Walking distance to many great restaurants and right on the lake. The staff at the front desk have lots of good recommendations restaurants and activities. South Lake Tahoe is the most dog friendly town we’ve ever visited!!

Located across the street from Lake Tahoe and walkway. The staff was helpful and kind. Bed comfy, clean rooms, nicely decorated, balcony, a/c & heat, microwave with VERY SMALL refrigerator (really on fit a few cans of soda). bathroom is small but that didn’t bother me other than no counter space. Small pet fee and refundable deposit. We stayed before Memorial Day so less than $150 a night. Pool was clean and heated.

We had a really nice stay here. It is conveniently located near walking paths and right across from the lake. We upgraded to a lake view room and they thoughtfully put us on the first floor which was great for the dogs. The room was a suite which I didn’t expect and was quite large. There were ample grass areas for the dogs to relieve themselves which was also nice. We would definitely stay here again.

Loved the grounds and location. The building for dogs staying is facing and right on Highway 50. Pretty loud to have the siding door open on the patio. Pool, grounds, hot tub, were great, bed was hard. Friendly people.

Only a 4 star rating because there was no comfortable outside place to relax with our dog. The only lounge sitting was around the pool. Dogs were not allowed in that area.

The place has a good view, is in a convenient location and is so dog friendly. They have 3 separate pet areas. Housekeeping is on request, which I loved. No worries that staff is going to upset the dog. The room was clean and comfortable.

Loved the pet relief areas here and the room was also very clean and modern, though a bit on the small side. It has all the amenities you’ll need including a coffee maker, refrigerator, and even a microwave! The shower was also really clean with great water pressure. I loved the fact that they have an area in the back of the property that looks feels like you’re in the woods that is fenced off where I could let my dog run around off-leash and in the snow. Awesome hotel and will definitely stay again in the future.

We appreciated our clean, comfortable room. We also really liked the location, right across the street from the lake and within walking distance to a lot of things (restaurants, shops, market, brewery, etc.). The pet spaces were great and I like the designated bins for pet waste. Staff was very friendly.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Azure Tahoe. They were very accommodating with an early check-in for us. I had to work during my stay, and they allowed us into our room as early as possible. Also, upon request they were able to provide us with a first floor room since our dog has arthritis. We really appreciated the flexibility and willingness to grant our requests.
The rooms were very clean, and nicely decorated. The location is centrally located along the lake, with lots of great places to walk your dogs. They had doggie stations all over their grounds with bags and trash containers.

They have several buildings and seemed like one of them is a designated dog friendly building. The room was remodeled and looked modern. Beds were so comfortable. They did not offer a dog bed or bowl to us either. When I arrived, the hotel room was not ready. Were told to come back at the regular check-in time in a few hours. But still the room wasn't ready. But they told me OK to being my dog in the recreational /library area. Truly appreciated not excluding pets from the main hotel area.

Safe Stay: Hotel Azure has enhanced cleaning and safety measures in place. Hand sanitizer is provided to guests, and rooms are disinfected between each stay and sealed after cleaning. Social distancing measures are in place, as well as physical barriers between staff and guests. Cashless payment is available. Each room has a 24-hour gap period between stays, and hotel staff are required to wear masks.
